Migrants who waited months to cross the U.S. border with Mexico learned their CBP One appointments had been canceled moments after Donald Trump was sworn in as president.
Those with the earliest appointments were allowed in. But by early afternoon, migrants like Jiménez were getting messages first saying their appointments were being pushed back, and then that they were no longer valid.
The U.S. government will no longer recognize the citizenship of children born in the United States to immigrants who lack legal status

I hope this law gets applied retroactively

Direct agencies to make recommendations on specific nationalities whose entries should be suspended.
The executive action on international students recalls past protests on college campuses, where some students caused controversy by burning flags and harassing Jewish students. At the time, Trump had already warned about such actions.

The 2021 Civil Immigration Enforcement Policies and Priorities issued under the Biden administration have been officially revoked. Individuals potentially affected by these policies are advised to consult with their immigration attorney to confirm their current status and ensure compliance with updated enforcement guidelines.
Terminate all categorical parole programs that are contrary to the policies of the United States established in my Executive Orders, including the program known as the “Processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans.”
Note: Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is not part of the categorical parole programs mentioned in the directive. TPS is a separate immigration program established by statute under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA)
