An anonymous caller on Wednesday threatened top comedy artist, Hari Bansha Acharya, with his life.

Acharya told Nepalnews that he received the call from ‘Moro Mobile’ cell phone at around 2:00 this afternoon when he was in shooting in Kathmandu.
“The caller asked me if I knew about the Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) incident [KMC principal Dr Hemang Dixit was shot and injured last week when he was on his way to the teaching hospital]. I told him that I knew about it. Then he said he was the person behind that incident and threatened me that I may also have the face the same fate [that of Dixit],” Acharya explained.
Police have found out that the man giving me threat is involved in criminal activities, Acharya informed and added that the caller’s mobile number was registered in the name of Ghanshyam Bhandari but the name is fake.
Police have confirmed said they have already identified the caller and are trying to nab him.
Along with his fellow artist, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Acharya was active in raising donations for the victims of people’s movement 2006. nepalnews.com by/mk May 10 06
Next thing you know, the mysterious caller demands all the money raised from the donation.
The agency that I had donated my share (-

Here is an email message from Anil.

Mukesh's case was forwarded to us (Alliance) by Lucia de Vries, a free lance journalist, soon after he was admited to Bir Hospital, long before it hit the news. We had even mentioned the case as potential recipient of the funds collected by the Alliance during our fund-raising drive.
However, about a couple of weeks ago Lucia got back to me saying she is confident that the government or the MaHa fund would look after him, so asked us to hold up on sending the money for him.
Now that the case has surfaced in the news, I have already sent another email to her and Fr. Gregory Sharkey in Kathmandu. I have asked Fr. Sharkey, who has already received US $1000.00 from our funds to treat a bullet injury victim at Kanti Children's hospital, to transfer the excess amount to Lucia, or to another reliable channel, to be given to Mukesh's parents.
We have also promised Lucia that we'll send more money if needed.
Anil.

Nepe Ji,
Thank you for update. Any idea what is happening with MaHa fund, there seem to be more news about how much they collected than how much they distributed. The effort put forward by MaHa deserves appreciation from all democracy loving Nepalese, but action is drawing more criticism. I mean like "A" for effort, but action I don't know. I was sadened by the fact that democratic fighters family are still struggling for fund, even though we have funds available, Umesh Ji's blog article "Lahsa ma sun cha, kan mero buchai" was sad and eye-opening.
