My employer has filed h1b in 2012 May. I got RFE at the end of September 2012.
The deadline for RFE response is 18th December 2012 and according to my employer, the pyscho attorney is planning to response on 17th December 2012,  1 day before the deadline. WHY? I have no clue.
I have 1 week left on my current job with my client. The employer who have filed my h1b doesn't have sufficient client to get a new  position  for me soon.
So, I am thinking of joining other employer.

Questions:
- While my h1b petition, through my current employer is in progress, can I or Is it good idea to change to other employer
( I have cpt/opt work authorization to work)
- Let's say I get approved for h1b after 3-4 weeks  and however, still if my employer couldn't find a new client for me, THEN they have to terminate my h1b. In such case How should I handle  the situation?

Please provide me relevant informaiton.

Few things you have to know:

1) If you are in OPT it gets suspended after you file your H1B.
2) If your H1B gets approve and you want to change your employer(another consultancy), again you need a client to file H1B.
3) If your current employer is not good and you have OPT authoriztion for another year, you can ask your lawyer to withhdraw your case. You have to go through your school to revive your OPT.
4) Looks like you will have trouble if you get H1B approval, so pray for good.
