Okay here is the deal. I am tooo tired of seeing photos and getting requests to joing groups claiming that buddha was born in nepal/that mt. everest is in nepal etc etc. So I started the following page for people who think alike.

Why should we care if Siddartha Gautam was born in nepal or bahamas? Why does it matter? Moreover, when he was born there was no Nepal or India. I think we need to let go of this inferiority complex now. I mean, have you seen/herad people of palestine go head over heels to claim that Jesus was born there??
 
Also, if we really care that much about Buddha, shouldn't we follow his teachings? Didn't he tell his followers to let go of their egos??

anyways here is a facebook page dedicated to not hanging on to buddha/mt everest/ Gurkha soldiers for our identities. (last but not the least, why would anyone be proud of the Gurkha/Gorkha soldiers?? all they did was invade and kill other people.)

I still don't know which tourists you are talking about ? We have been on a do not travel to this country list for over 12 years.

Are you talking about the same athletes who go AWOL everytime they are taken to an olypic games, or Asian games ? If you are I am not cheering them.

Actually, we all should be happy that Nepal is officially recognised as the birthplace of Buddha. The powers that be of Buddhism recognise Nepal as the birthplace of Buddha and so do governments from all over the world.

All these without a valid birth certificate of Buddha and no official records, i think we have got a good deal. It is better to keep quiet and hush this matter and enjoy the glory associated with it. Too much sensationalising of this issue might invite US experts with their latest gadgets for a field study in Nepal and we might even lose this one.

I have never heard of  चिकामारी र  छ छक्क छत्तिस गरेर थाकेko ? भुत्रो को Sick and tired of hearing this issue.  Mind your own business. 

Personally i don't give a hoots ass where Buddha was born, it is recognized by the international community that he was born in Lumbini, which currently is part of Nepal and that my friend is the official recognisition. India  falsely claim that Buddha was born in india or they may also claim jesus was born in south india or for that matter they may claim mt everest is located to the north of india (geographically speaking that is a true statement if you take their capital city to be the waypoint) so what does that matter? they are playing with your weakness and agitating you and you react exactly how they want you to react... there are so many more pressing issues that Nepal needs to address than to ponder and waste our time on this ridiculous argument.
