 Hi

Is there any Non - IT people who have recently gone to vancouver to get H1B visa stamping? If so, any information/advise with the process and experience would be greatly appreciated.

I work in the HR management field and am planning to go around August for stamping adn quite nervous about it.

thank you

@nepalihoma: I am not trying to hijack your thread but I would also love to hear people's opinion on my situation.
I had applied for asylum and it was flatly rejected. Now I am in H1 and planning to go for stamping to canada on jan 2014. Do you guys think I will get rejected based on the fact that i had applied for asylum or that won't matter?

Returning back to the original question from Nepalihoma:

Couple of my friends who were working in IT through consultancy got their H1B approved in Canada. My guess is as long as you are fulltime employed in the field of your study, you shouldn't be having any issues. They will as well look into your paystub and other determining factors, but they do the same when you go for H1B interview in Nepal as well.

Just my two cents, but like you said, it would be nice to hear from someone who has actually been through this..

@hital (2) If the applicant is in status, and the officer wishes to deny the case, the applicant must be sent a notice of intent to deny, which sets out the reasons why the officer intends to deny the case, and gives the applicant at least ten days in which to rebut the notice. If the rebuttal is not sufficient, the application will be denied. However, the applicant can still remain in lawful nonimmigrant status. http://www.rapidimmigration.com/1_eng_info_asylum.html
