I got married little over a month ago and forgot to add my wife's name in my employer sponsored health insurance within 30 days window. My employer said they can only add within 30 days of marriage.
Now i'll have to wait until next year (january) to add her name on my insurance.
At the same time, is there any cheap insurance i can buy for her ? She's on dependent visa.
thank you

If you are not planning for baby right away then you can find individual plans anywhere for low cost. But its hard to buy insurance with maternity coverage. Even if you get it would be more expensive and also they will have at least 12 month of waiting period before they cover for maternity. Total BS...

If she doesn't have any Pre-existing conditions, you should be able to shop for a liability only (High deductible) insurance for fairly reasonable price.
