I am a permanent resident since 2011.I have received a green card over the green card diversity lottery. My boyfriend is in F1 visa. We just got married a month ago. I just read some news that I could apply for GC for him starting in Aug for a family based visa to adjust his status. I just wanted to make sure that this is really available now and if we are good to start with a process. Please give me some suggestions, explain the steps. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can. Just fill out the forms I-130(by you), I-485(AOS) and I-765(work permit) by your spouse. You can file all these forms concurrently. Check www.uscis.gov for all the documents needed for these forms. Make sure u file within the month of September because visa availability might retrogress starting October.
