I think it will be easier for you to get it from Nagarpalika or GaBiSa. Nagarpalikas usually give it in English so no problem, however GaBiSas might give you in Nepali and you have to translate it from Kanoon Kitab Khana. But in my case the GaBiSa gave it in English.

you wanna get it from your VDC or municipality office, and also an english translation of it. The english translation does not have to be notarized or from the kitab khana. It just needs to have mentioned that "whoever translated it is a competent in both english and nepali and it is an accurate translation, his name and address and date.

Thank you for all your reply guys. I have been able to get the certificate. They do it on the ward office now days. They were able to provide me with both english and nepali certificate on one page (Nepali above and english at the bottom). Thanks again.

Yep that's what you need... One page certificate written in nepali on the top and english on the bottom....That's the actual birth certificate..People get those "To Whom it may concern" kind of birth certificate but that doesnt' always work.
