Two persons sleeping together are unaware of the dreams the other person is seeing though both are in the same state of mind: Sleep. Similarly, in waking reality one is unaware of the sensations of the other person though both are awake. So, handle your own mind and never try to control others' mind. A thought comes from the subconscious layer and the mind attach itself to this thought and experiences as such. A sad feeling comes, mind experiences sadness, a happy mood comes, mind experiences happiness. Moods, emotions, and thoughts are ever changing process. With each moods there is a separate experiencer; however, it happens so fast that this experiencer is believed as one single personality. When you rotate a rope with a fire at one end, the fire appears to be a circle ! But circle is unreal, fire is real.

Create habits of witnessing these thoughts and moods instead of being swayed away by it. You will enjoy this life more openly and you will have more control over your mind. You can arrest your thoughts, if you like it enjoy it; if you don't like it bring a counter thought and experince that thought instead. By practicing this, your awareness increases and contentment follows. The supreme happiness can only be achieved through contentment. In a nutshell, bring witness consciousness, and this gradually happens contenment follows. When contenment is achieved life becomes more peaceful and happy.

Great article Ujl. Your thinking process is really great. Optimism is what I see, which is great. You can't please others without pleasing yourself first. Find your utopia. Give an unrequitted hand for people in need, find solace in this harsh reality and life will be always great.

Great post again!!!!

ujl, great post. I was reading a long article today about how "The Illusion of Asymmetric Insight
" rules us..but your post is straight forward for us - long optimists. This article is quite long and I liked it but you make your own call.
