This back pain is killing me. It slows me down and feeling low all the time due to back pain. It is affecting my work too. Went to doctor but not much progress. Recommend me any effective home treatment or any specific exercise if you know any please.

You have to stretch back 20-30 minutes twice a day and you may see improvement at least two weeks of stretching.
I do these: could not paste the pictures. 1) Sit on feet and stretch you hand straight , move all the way left very gently and stretch straight then go right gently inch by inch moving your fingers.
2: sleep on you back , bring your left leg over to right side ( every time you have to do it very gently: if you jerk it may have negative impact) , do it other side.
3: sleep on you back : bring your right knee to your chest, then left
4: sleep on our face and pull your head all the way up.
There are many but start these from today. you need to sit straight on office chair, do no slouch.

I had two different instances of back pain (they were probably over a year apart). First one persisted for a while (ibuprofen didn't make me feel any better) and I had to go to the doctor. He suggested me to take higher dose of ibuprofen for a week. His reason was there might be some inflammation and the lower dose that I was taking was not enough. He also told me that the pain killer will help reduce the inflammation and eventually the pain will go away. He also told me that it will take a couple of months if not more for the pain to completely go away. He was right. The second back pain went away when I changed my mattress.

If that the case : buy extra cushion for you shoes, never wear dress shoes in your work. You can try Arc style too. Instead of awaiting to join yoga : go to internet and google back stretch; you will see the one I had advised. Start today, will take two weeks to see the result, be gentle while doing stretch. Breath in and out is another key factor doing exercise or yoga.

My back also pains a lot although I attribute it to my workout. Is there anyway I can alleviate it without having to sacrifice my workout? FYI, I sit 8 hours on my desk although I try to move around a bit. I am not sure if my mattress is also a culprit in any way! P.S. Nice to see you being active again Mercy. I like irritating you! :D

hahaha Mercy nani....i don't mind you unfriending/blocking me in Facebook. But you helped me befriend your best companion who I think is much sweeter than you(no offence intended). @Nas...your mattress reminded me of my university days. Boy, those were the days!

Buy a Nice sneaker with full of cushion, add more. You are standing all day long. Dump your soft mattress and get a firm one. Do the basic back stretch recommended for a week and two twice a day : if it is not helping then think of alternative. Stop taking too much pain killer : taking too much Acetaminophen may cause stomach problem.
