Collegefootballrocks bro, I wouldn't call him the best coach in the world. He is definitely one of the best and that too, looking at his statistics (with Barca only). He hasn't proved himself with a medicore team yet. He lacks defensive vision, you saw yesterday, he played 3 defenders against Messi, Neymar and Suarez. He is know to acquire a team that is pretty much build up (both Barca and Bayern) and continue the success which eventually he is failing at Bayern. Remember, Bayern did Treble before Pep took over Bayern. From that perspective, I say he is unsuccessful and DOES NOT deserve to be call the best coach.

Thats ur perspective Lamps bro. So, do you mean to say the coach who completes the "treble" is the only best coach????? If thats your perception, I dont have to say anything. Missing some of the best players like Robben and Ribery resulted in such loss. Again, thats ur perception and I still think he is the world's best coach

I dont agree abt Argentina vs Germany too but it was all Messi's magic yesterday..2 goals and an assist in the match with 3-0 score. Come on, try to give some credit to any player who plays well.....

Collegefootballrocks Bro, I think it is our own perspective how we want to look at things. To answer your question, Yes treble is the main (not the only) factor to be a successful coach. Pep came to light after he did Treble with Barca, Jose became famous after he did with Porto and the list goes on. In today's world, you wouldn't call Pelligrini a top coach for wining a PL title in 2 years or luis Enrizue who is struggling to win first title as a coach in la liga.

I also agree that Messi was magical in yesterday's game, he was the difference between two teams. He totally deserves more credit than any one else in the pitch, Malai Argentina and Germany bhanne kura matrai chitta naujheko ho. Thats it!

Honestly, I hate the word best coach, in my opinion one of the best is more appropriate. 1. Jose is one of the best because of his technical ability to read opponent's game and produce results. Not to forget his achievements in top leagues in Europe except Germany. 2. Ancelloti is one of the Best because of his honesty and personality, his playing style and his achievements in different European countries just like Jose. 3. Klopp is one of the best for his tactics and his achievement with a Medicore team and 4. Obviously pep for what he achieved with Barca. I wouldn't be surprised to see Klopp replacing Pep once his contract is over.

Barcelona is favourite to advance to final. But am I the only one who think this fixture is far from over. Barcelona still have to go to Allianz Arena and play. Yes 3-0 defeat makes it next to impossible. But just in the previous round, I think Munich was beaten 3-1 by Porto. But in a return match they beat porto 6-1. Of course, Barcelona is not Porto. But going by the previous result you can't rule Munich completely out. However, I would like to see Juventus to win the champions league. If not for anybody, then for Pirlo and Buffon

You seem to be a Real Madrid fan Lamps Bro...Ancelotti no where close to be the best coach...madrid not even in the Copa Del Roy anymore, second in la Liga and serious threat of getting out of CL after first leg defeat, and he is considered to be one of the best?? Funny remark...

Collegefootballrocks bro, I am no Real Madrid fan. Ancelloti is the most underrated manager today. It is no secret he made RM European Champion last year, before that P$G French champion, double with Chelsea, Milan European and Italian champions. He doesn't talk much unlike Pep, Mourihno, and other coaches but in terms of his footballing genius he is no less.

@collegefootballrocks It seems like your definition of "best coach" is to analyze the achievements of current season only.

Collegefootballrocks bro, To be honest, I like the quote of Zlatan on him "Pep Guardiola is a Coward" To be considered as a best coach, you need to set up your own team and win trophies. If you look at Pep, he managed two teams so far and both teams were already been set up before he is appointed. He is too smart and don't want to gamble his career with the teams they are still under building process. If rumor to be true, SAF tried him to tie down to Old Trafford. He denied. He knew what going to happen to the team SAF is about to leave. I hope he is turning in to United now, as they are getting better compared to last year and certainly have better squad with few signing still to come this summer.

When I included Argentina (Messi, Mascherano) as the winner over Germany (Neuer, Muller, Gotze etc), I am just attempting to provide myself some childish consolation over the former's loss in the 2014 WC. Germany's world cup win was well-deserved though Messi did not disappoint the fans in any way, IMO.
On a side note, after Colombia's match against Brazil was stolen, Germany was appointed as 'instant Karma' to vanquish the Brazilian side in one of the most humiliating manners in recent memory. And guess what? FIFA has quietly placed Colombia above Brazil in the ranking table.
But Messi was phenomenal in yesterday's game with contributions in all the three goals in the match that missed out on opposing fire-powers of Ribery and Robben . It is a team sport but Neymar and Dani Alvez also stood out pretty well. Most of all, the sports news channels are now peppered with the acceptable comments that Messi is the greatest player in the history of the game. Now get this, no coach strategy works when an inspired messi is at work.
In the mean time, the media has to keep themselves gainfully employed by fueling the debate on who the current best footballer in the world is, by continuing to pit Messi against Ronaldo, for now.

GeetMaiJawaafDiu? Bro,
You are contradicting your own words. You are saying football is a team sports and yet no one can stop Messi when he is inspired? No doubt, Messi is the greatest player ever to play the beautiful game in my opinion as well (some will argue Ronaldo is). But can he score in cold rainy night in Stoke?( , don't take it seriously). On a serious note, Chelsea has stopped Messi every time they play against Barca. Answer me how many times Messi scored against Chelsea? Bottom line is Player can never be greater than a Coach or a Club.

no_quiro Barca ain't Porto PERIOD Had Suarez capitalized his chances, Bayern would have been humiliated. Bayern had 0 shot on the target. Even in Allianz I can't see Bayern scoring 4 goals without conceding a goal or two. Barca will try to score an early goal and put game to the bed. Since past few editions the teams which played first home game in the semifinals have advanced to the final, you can check... A hardcore Barca fan here..... :)
BTW, Geetmai bro, do I know you? You smell like I know you...

Lamps, when a genius like Maradona, Messi, Zidane, Pele, or Brazilian Ronaldo (or other credit-worthy ones) is playing in the field, team sport concept can get somewhat defied. At times, both Messi and Maradona have single handedly weaved through the defense across half the field and scored. Apart from technical skills, these players are outstanding playmakers who can decide the game to a large extent. I remember watching a video clip of Maradona scoring extremely unconventional goals like at the very start of the game from the center of the field as he caught the goalpost unguarded by the keeper. Another one was when Maradona headed a bouncing ball across more than a quarter-length of the field again with the keeper caught far from the goalpost. But Messi's dribbling and speed are out of this world. Yet, Maradona's eccentric passion on the football field is what distinguished him as a true artist from all the other geniuses.
Nalapani, I also wish we knew each other in person since it is highly unlikely we do.
