I always think like this? I should have done this, done that that way I could have been successful in my goals. Kinda feel like I am suffering form depression or something. Always things come into mind like should have done that that way I wouldn't have been in this situation. Anybody feel the same?

Every single human being does this. If a mind has capability to think, it will do that. Regrets and self doubtings are part of how we became what we are now. THe difference is to what extent. If you do it too much, consider meditating. It will help calm those thoughts down.

Once a king asked a yogi, "What is the meaning of life?" The yogi replied, "A man is born, he suffers, and then he dies."

That is because you my brother are living in the past. When you live in the past, you will always regret and feel depressed. Now saying that don't live in the future either, because if you live in the future you will live in anxiety and panic. So the best way to live is to live in the Now. Live moment to moment. it's a continuous practice but will bring you ultimate peace and joy in life. It will also make your brain sharp and help you take correct actions, with peace. when your brain in living in past or in the future, it's like you have 30 different applications running in your pc , when you live in the now then your brain has more power to tackle the issues. and life does not exist in the past or in the future, it only exists on the present so you'll make some impact in changing your present which will make your future better , and when your present improves you will not think about the past or even if you do you 'll look at past like it's a movie without feeling depressed. now you may ask, so does that mean should i not plan about future or go back to the past for useful knowledge. No, go to the past and get that useful knowledge and plan the future, vision the future but do that no more than 10% of the time. if you're doing more than that then you're wasting your time and not taking enough actions. to develop the habit of living in the present , focus on breathing when you mediate. because breathing is happening in the present and it will bring you to the present where life is. Also breathing is the only medium which is the link between your involuntary body, like liver, heart, lungs etc and your voluntary body like you hand , legs etc, because look at it like this you can control your breath for some time but not for to long, because it represents both voluntary and involuntary. it give your better sync with your mental and consciousness areas. try meditating for like 5 mins, and increase up to 15. it may take 3 months, but you have to do in daily basic so you can see some changes.

Hi Ujyalo, Since I read your post about depression for the first time, I've been following your posts. You come up with so many random questions, I'm not sure if you ask those type of questions genuinely or just asking. Anyway, they show you have some confusion and depression. I'm concerned that you're not dealing with the problem. Well, depression is manageable if you do something to treat it but if untreated it can be fatal just like other chronic diseases. There are different types of depression and their manifestations, treatments and recovery vary from person to person. Based on your posts, I think your depression might be situational, which means it is caused by things that happen in your life. It can be managed through professional counselling and/or medication. I think maybe about 4-5 months ago you posted about your depression and you got some suggestions to do exercises, yoga, meditation, etc. I'm not sure if you're doing those things but it seems like you are not getting any better. In my opinion, in the US, there are many people who have a stressful life like you and feel anxiety about it. I find that many Americans use an anti-depression medication to manage stress and anxiety even though they are not clinically depressed. Unlike Americans, we Nepalese see depression as abnormal, as a mental illness rather than a normal if unwanted occurrence. If you talk about your depression with some Nepalese people they might inadvertently make things worse for you. We often hear of people committing suicide because of untreated depression. I'm not an expert but from talking with people who know about depression here are some of my suggestions to you. Please try to see a doctor as soon as possible; it can be a family doctor. Even if you are out of immigration status ( without insurance) you can find an inexpensive clinic like a county health department ( I hear they charge about $20). The doctor can prescribe an inexpensive antidepressant for you and I suggest you not to hesitate to take it. I hear the medicine helps you to see beyond the depression as well as motivates you to do exercise and other activities. Once you start feeling better and energetic and learn methods to control your depression such as exercise, meditation, etc. you may be able to cut back on the medication under the doctor's supervision. There are over-the-counter medications for depression, but I heard those are worthless. It is important that you be monitored by the doctor. I read in another of your posts that you are going to get married to a Nepali girl with a 'green card'. Have you talked about your depression with her yet? If not I encourage you to share it with her and see how she takes it. I'm saying this because sometimes you come up with questions like, " I can't get up before 11 AM or sometimes 4 PM". " I feel weak, I can't work." "Can I buy new clothes on Sunday" ( something like that I forgot what day you mentioned), etc. What would she think if you talk to her like that after marriage? Try to feel strong and be optimistic with her. Good luck trying to alleviate your depression!
