Regarding your second question about benefits, "Nothing". The main purpose of US govt awarding TPS for various nations is to provide temporary relief regrading the visa status, work authorization etc so that the resident of the country can stay in US for a period of time with going back to the country. Since a person is a GC holder, i wonder what is the benefit of applying as that person can legally stay and work in US without any fear or deportation. In Short again, No benefit for GC holder regarding TPS.

When greencard holder apply for TPS their greencard gets voided & when TPS expires they return to their previous status which is such as pre-dvlottery or pre-kaali marry, pre-H1b, pre-asylee etc

Statuspidit jun status ma bhayepani one this is sure, Statuspidit just by the name is in more tension than you if you are a green card holder planning to apply for TPS. I guess that's why he/she is rude..... :)

Nope, there is no benefit for GC holders. No point applying for it if you are a GC holder. Above user explained it well.

I heard GC holders can get two way free ticket to Nepal once TPS is approved and 3 months of unemployment bhatta after coming back to US. :P

@damikattu...YES you can apply TPS...which in turn will void your GC and shorten your stay here in US to 18 months only benefit is that United States will have one less fool to take care of.
Also I would like add that sajilai GC paune ko buddhi ta hudaina ani Paye samma Alkatra samma khana choddainaan...Piya kta ho piya ani thaha pauchau.

I am not sure how you got you GC, may be filing Asylum/from company or marrying kali/gori. Another big important is, what is your education level, I guess you should have basic knowledge and it's been almost a month people are talking about TPS, for whom and why.

You don't know the value of GC, looks you got that easily without any suffering.

If you want to loose your GC and go back to status less person, apply it, otherwise stop pronouncing word TPS from your mouth. Respect this TPS.
