I got mine in about 8-9 months. check on their site. the have updates when mrps are sent or received with the names of mrp holders.

They do not send old passport to Nepal. Call them and ask for old passport if you desperate need old one.

they give you an old passport with your new mrp when it arrives. if you need something urgent to travel you can get temporary passport for mere 30 bucks. just write an application and include the money order. if u r not sure how to do it, it is mentioned on their website how to do.

btw I had the copies of all my documents including passport. dont u have one? if not u learned today that why u need to keep copies.

If it's been 4 months then you should have get it by now. Please keep calling Nepal Embassy, they will answer eventually. Meanwhile you can also check the MRP status online

Just look at the dispatched ones, if you find your name there then it's been dispatched from Nepal.

After that check the received ones too. If your name is in received ones then DC Embassy had received your file.

yes, I am in desperate need for old passport but I can't contact to embassy. I tried to call them on this number (202) 667-4550 and (202) 667-4551 but no one receives the phone. Directs for extension, no one responds and goes to voice mail again. I also left the voice mail still I didn't get any response. I also dropped email again didn't get any response. Any good number to contact !!! Really tired of calling Embassy. My passport is dispatched from nepal at

which says passport is dispatched to USA but today is 23 July 2015 still not delivered.

then the passport is on its way. wait until next week. generally it takes 4-6 weeks to get the passport once it is mailed.

Keep checking and keep calling to Nepal embassy. call in early morning hours (9-12). Whenever I called (two-three times) they have answered.

Time lagcha bro, for me took over a year. Did u request a temporary passport? U can use that, if u dont have it, u can request one, they send u that in few months. U would still have time to apply for TPS.

fedex, ups jaha bata pathako ho..tesko return envelope ko tracking number bata track garna sakincha ni.. there is a term 'common sense'. one has to use it.
i sent my passport twice..once it was lost in such a way that it reached to UTAH while I am in Cali. second time I got it back in a normal delivery process. Both times for some reason MRP couldn't be done. So just for freaking sake of MRP, I am in Nepal. Can you fkcng believe it?
