Hi guys,
Here is my situation, I am on F-1 status

TPS Applied: July 06
Application Received : July 11
Biometric Received: August 04
TPS status : fee received
EAD Status : New card being produced (August 11) (Nothing yet as of now)

Since I failed to register for classes my sevis has been terminated since july 21. I have spoken with DSO, she said we can file for reinstatement on september. what is going to happen now ?
Even if I am approved for TPS would not that out of status ( for 1 month ) harm me for my later immigration process (H1B/GC) ?

I might have enough 3 more chances to attempt for H-1B .. ( I hope) i might get lucky in any of those .... agillo 3 choti ta unlucky bhaisake aya sochda sochda tension bhaisakyo yaar .....
i went to see lawyer .... kera jasto fee matra charge garera email me all the details bhanera pathayo ... reply nai garena ... feri bhetna gaye ( oh it went to another folder .. i think you can live with couple month out of status .. ... let me do more research and I will email you bhanera paisa charge garera pathayo lol ) jathi ...

datamap , remember if you get H1b on TPS EAD without F1, you will have to go back home for stamping I believe and you may get denied because you were out of status.

I would maintain the F1 status while taking benefit of the TPS EAD so that you can do change of status smoothly on H1b.

@mimroramero The NOA was dated 7/17 and did my biometric on August 4.
@fdpower -- I understand that but would that reinstatement fix my previous out of status ?

DataMap you be fine, trust me, here's what I want to share to all Nepalese ,,, TPS especially is designed to get temporary Immigration relief to those national listed for TPS program so people can work and send their money to rebuilt their nations, instead of receiving donations from other countries to rebuilt, Develop nations will only send back to people to their homeland if it is safe. or Until it is safe. ... people who are out of status, status or anything, they are eligible if they are from the designated country us is "Nepal" should be a Nepali first. TPS can only be denied if you are from the different country or have an extensive criminal background . With an approved TPS you can travel anywhere, ( travel document ), Officers at the POE can't deny you your entry based on your previous status for anything as long as you have an Approved TPS. Means they can't question you your status ,,,, Now after the TPS is over you will fall back to your previous Status ,like F 1 to F1 and B1 to B1 and so on..,But in the mean time you still can file for TPS to H1, TPS to I-485 or to any status,, USCIS have been receiving so many application recently they might take little longer than usual to process all those applications. And what ever you get a response , explain it to them because lots of officers at USCIS don't know your details you have to explain it to them.

My main point was also , to encourage all the Nepalese (needing work permit) to apply for TPS without any hesitation.

Hope I am helpful, let me know if I am mistaken.

thanks parbioled mitra ... you sound very informative, however i am more concerned in future immigration benefits rather than TPS
how is my out of status for 2 month is going to effect in future immigration process ... that is my real question ...

if you get reinstate, then those out of status period will not be counted in further immigration processing. once you get your F-1 status back, then you are in status.
