I was in the US for around 6 years in F1 Student Visa, but was unable to complete my studies for some reason and returned back to Nepal a few years ago. Also my credit history was not very good while I was in the US.

I need to apply for a business visa for US now as I need to travel for my business purpose.

I was wondering if anyone of you have any information if my background of incompleted studies in the US and bad credit will have any impact in my US Business Visa Application.

Bad credit will not effect on your reentry. Did you leave US before your i20 date was expired? I mean to say Did you leave US in good status or after being out of status or over stay?? If you had returned within time (before i20 expired and before you became out or status) you should be fine.

I returned in gud status... never overstayed...the only issue was i did not finished my studies...so wonder it that wud matter at all...

Do you have any info whether your bad credit issue has been escalated to collection agency if you have borrowed money?

I think its your choice to whether to finish your studies or no, if you had departed w/o overstaying or out of status you should be fine. however be prepared to have a good answer incase consular raise that question.

Your personal credit history has no bearing on immigration status. These are two separate bureaus.
