Can you kind folks shed some light and share some experience on this? Does USCIS always request interview for employment based I485 AOS with a married dependent? Or only if the marriage is very recent or looks suspicious etc? If a couple have been married for 3 or more years, have kids etc. kind of situation, would USCIS then waive interview and directly approve I485? It would be so nice if people who have been through these steps share some experience/results?

@collegefootballrocks I know it is kind of personal, but if you don't mind me asking it - have you been married for a number of years? I was wondering if the number of years married for kinda played some role in your interview waiver? Thanks for your input! Much appreciated.

Anyone else who have recently been through this (i.e. 1485 approval for married couple without an interview)? I would really appreciate to hear about your experience..Thanks

@collegefootballrocks Thank you so much. I have been married for 4 years myself and have a two year old kid too. I have been impatiently waiting for approval of our AOS. I did my biometrics on the 11th of Jan. The AOS application was received by USCIS mid November. It's LINcoln NE USCIS office, so I guess I still have a couple of months' worth of waiting to do. Would you be so kind enough to share your timeline? Thanks again!!

@zeePa I'm on the similar boat. Bio done on Jan 25,2017 for me and my wife. I received my EAD card last week, yet, my wife EAD is still pending. Our application RD for AOS was on Dec 14, 2016. I just like to mention one more thing;Although, I've received my EAD card along with AP, my status is not updated on the USCIS website. Processing center: NE. Thanks! Good luck!
