"North Korea is portrayed as hell by Americans and showcased as a paradise by North Koreans. The truth is somewhere between these two extremes."
North Korea should be nothing to aspire to. Only a die hard communist who has been brainwashed by propaganda would think NK is doing good. This is a country ruled by a dictator who recently killed his half brother. Defector's family are never heard from again. Who knows what happens to them. It is much worse than in China where they have harvest organ off of any one opposing the ruling communist regime. If You do your thing and keep quite about the government then you can survive.
But don't think that just because China has made money that it is heaven for the Chinese people. In fact that prosperity comes at a huge price of individual freedom and sacrifice of millions of poor people. Millions were killed by mao and the Tibetians were expeled. They killed many of Falung Gong practitioners and in Tianmen square and the boy girl ratio worse than in India.
So Nepal is in danger from these 2 dinosaurs flinching their eyes on Nepali people specially girls. We have heard of many innocent Nepali women who fall prey to the promise of good jobs in China or even marriage. They then realize too late that they are trapped in a loveless marriage and treated worse than an animal. This has happened to many Nepali people in many countries all over the world because of Nepali people themselves.
We the Nepali people have not become aware of many of these problems. The culture itself is to serve yourself and the so called 'netas' have taken it to the next level. Government of this prachanda, or shere are there just for their own sake. They don't have any agenda while the Nation's poor are suffering at the hands of Nepalese themselves and foreigners who are there to take advantage of innocents.
Nepal has seen a rise of leadership cartels who are aiming to acquire government power through mutual dealings. They have no agenda to do with the population.
"Anyhow PP (Paisa ra power) khau" is their motto. Desh ko bidambana.
