Friends,

Received a RFE for birth certificate. I had earlier submitted the one issued by Wada office of Kathmandu Nagarpalika certifying that I am the son of my parents (their names) born on certain date (my date of birth) in certain address of Kathmandu city.

Now that I've received RFE, what another document can I submit? Upon my request, my father has written a "To whom it may concern" letter certifying that I am his son and was born in Kathmandu on my date of birth. He has notarized this letter by a lawyer (notary). Will this letter suffice?

I heard that many nepalese receive RFE for birth certificates. I appreciate if I can get some advise or suggestions from the ones who have been through this situation and got resolved the problem.

Get affidavit of birth from two relatives ..

Tru get an affidavit from couple of relatives saying They were present during the birth.

Thanks friends for your responses. My lawyer advised me to get an affidavit from my father only. So, that is not enough?
Relatives bhanna le mommy ko huncha ? Ki mama, sano aama haru chahincha? I don't have kaka or thulo buwas. Tapai haru le kasko linu bhayo?

I had also RFE on BC,Get affidavits from like every one told you here.I had made 6 affidavits including ,parents,neighbors,aunt and Traditional birth attendant ( susare if you have any).It works.

when is your received date for 485 filing?

Can anyone tell me what information the affidavit should include. Should just a couple of lines stating the name of parents and date of birth be enough?

I, Father name, hereby depose and say:

That I, fathername, was born in the town of dads birth town, dads address
• My full and complete address is Address Nepal.
• That I am closely related to applicant . I am his father.
• That applicant was born on DOB to my self Father and my wife Mothername
• That I have direct personal knowledge of the event and circumstances concerning the birth of applicantname because I was present at his birth.

This affidavit is being submitted because there is no official record of birth created at the time of birth.


I declare under penalty of perjury, that the foregoing is a true and correct statement.
