Has anyone done F1-reinstatement before, how long it takes?

It took me about 4 months i think. It was long time ago but i think 3-4 months.

Original or photocopies of current financial support documents that meet the minimum requirement
for your degree level

Photocopy of your passport identification page

Photocopy of your current F1 visa

Original of your current I-94 record

Completed I-539 Form

I-539 Filing Fee in the form of a check or money order, payable to: “U.S. Department of Homeland
Security”

Original letter from you truthfully explaining the situation and requesting a reinstatement. You
should explain if/how your failure to maintain status meets the criteria to apply for reinstatement.

Supporting documentation

Official transkripts from other U.S. schools previously attended

Proof of payment of the SEVIS I-901 fee (only applicable if you have been out of status for more
than 5 months)

Photocopy of your Current Reinstatement I-20

Original letter recommending your reinstatement (You will receive this letter from current university that you are going to enroll.)

I-539 Filing Fee - $370

any "sh*thole"college/university accept reinstatement, then you can transfer to good university.
