You can easily answer that questions by looking at the present scenario of Nepal. China and India are encroaching Nepal's land, and Nepal is not able to do anything about it! To be specific, Nepal is weak, pretty weak. If India and China attack by their missiles, Nepalese do not have any idea on how to save their nasty butt from such kind of attack. Politicians are busy appointing thugs and mafias in the parliament! I do not see a positive vibe for Nepal. Future looks dark for Nepal unless these thugs and mafias are wiped out by Corona sh*t.

When a society doesn't know how to integrate science and technology with its traditional culture, such a society will collapse sooner or later. Because when sh*t hits the fan, there won't be any heroes left in such societies.

Until India and Pakistan don't resolve their issues, that region is very sensitive. A war can break out any time. As we're seeing right now with India and China, and Pakistan siding with China.

Yes, Nepal is pretty small, but people are forgetting nepal has got 30million people, even if they invade Nepal, they cannot cleanse a population of 30 million, even if our national army fails but they will meet with resistance, just think about rebel groups in India, they have not defeated rebels within their own territories. It's not easy to invade a sovereign nation, Nepal may find it hard to achieve the level of stability that we are hoping due to constant power play. Think about Vietnam War or Afghanistan, the most powerful force in the world did not come out on the top.
And talking about integration of science and technology in the society, mediocre middle class ain't gonna do a shit, they keep bitching about things and get a big boner when politicians talk big and settle for armchair activision. How many of us know many industries are there in Nepal and their socio economic impact.
On a positive note things are not bad as we assume from out of the country, in macro level Nepal is growing, just for an example, Nepal is putting up bike assembly lines for TVS, Bajaj, Yamaha and Honda with combined investment of NPR 18Billion with a B, so don't be disheartened, if the state fails then many of us will come together to putup a resistance bro...like terminator...
