Hello my TPS friends I am putting together list of documents needed for EAD renewal for those who have maintained the TPS status. Based on the FDR published https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/09/10/2021-19617/continuation-of-documentation-for-beneficiaries-of-temporary-protected-status-designations-for-el if you need an EAD card with an expiry date of Dec 31 2022, you have to file an I-765 form.
Meanwhile, I noticed that you can file an I-765 via your USCIS online account. but then I also saw this notice on USCIS TPS page https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/temporary-protected-status/temporary-protected-status-designated-country-nepal
"If you are filing for a new EAD, a replacement EAD for already granted TPS, re-registration for TPS, or a late initial application for TPS, please follow instructions below. E-filing is not currently available for TPS for Nepal. You must send your TPS package by mail or courier to the appropriate address in the table below:"
Has anyone seen this. is a renewed EAD same as replacement EAD or may be they have not updated their page. I would appreciate any inputs.
Thanks much

So I found out that only nationals from these countries can apply ONLINE. "eligible nationals of Burma, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela or Yemen, or individuals without nationality who last habitually resided in one of those countries" Here is the list of documents that I think are needed for a renewed EAD for Category a(12). 1. Fill out form I -765 2. Make a check of $410 to US Homeland and Security. You do not need to submit any fee for biometrics since you are on TPS. 3. Photocopy of your last EAD. (front and back) 4. Photocopy of your unexpired passport. Your passport must not expire in the next 6 months. 5. Photocopy of I-94. 6. Two passport size photos. 7. Tear-off portion from your most recent EAD Mail (this is not mandatory, if you have, it will speed up the process) 8. G1145 form (for e-notification of receipt by USCIS) 9. Where to send the application along with other documents: U.S. Postal Service:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Attn: TPS Nepal P.O. Box 6943 Chicago, IL 60680-6943
FedEx, UPS, or DHL:
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Attn: TPS Nepal 131 S. Dearborn – 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60603-5517

For anyone willing to help or are in the same boat, it does seem like the process and so the addresses where to file might be different between sending a TPS app & just and Employment Authorization app

I have updated the list of documents in the thread above just in case any one else wants a new EAD with the valid dates. Thanks.

Anyone filed for EAD online? I do not see where it says TPS holders from Nepal cannot apply online. Also, for people who have done it, how long was the processing time? Please help

You don't have to get a new EAD for TPS. They are all auto renewed. Why waste money ?

Go back to Nepal. Nepal has better scope than filing TPS.

@7TraintoJaxonHTs, whatever you wrote for filing for EAD ( documents )for TPS is correct. I did same and got receipt notice already. but might take like around 7/8 months to get Physical EAD card depending which service center it went through.

@xkavrepalanchok Thank you very much for your input. Can you tell why the TPS holders should go back to Nepal? I fail to understand why it bothers some people. Have they done anything wrong to you? Please, I'd like to offer help if they have.

@Pirati I should not have said this but TPS asking people are a hurdle to the American government as well as for Nepali nonimmigrant upcoming. I never ever felt this pain until I had to reappear to get my visa interview and I got my visa rejected twice. This was a turning point for me to develop my hatred toward these TPS holders and stayers. The Visa officer often tends to use this sort of TPS and Over stayer, statistics to analyze the data and prioritize which countries get more visas and which don't. TPS holders are the number one reason why people back home are getting their visas rejected. I would be happy if these sorts of people get deported back to where they come from.

So, they told you it was because of an act created by Congress to provide legal status, they are rejecting visas? There is something amiss here. Could it be possible that there were other reasons your visa was rejected twice? Visas were being rejected before TPS as well.

DHS says you don't need to have a EAD with a valid expiration date. If you already have one which has already been expired. it auto renews. So why people creating this fuss about. Worthless.

@dhasukha I would re-read the thread before calling people worthless. DMVs around the US use a system called SAVE Verification system (USCIS/Federal Govt) to verify the applicant's status. What is happening is for some of the applicants, it is not verifying the the status immediately. DMVs are having to create a second level verification to verify the status, which could take some time. DHS does not provide drivers licenses, but state does. States cannot bypass their system to provide you a license.

Kavrepalanchok … You already sounded like a person who is not qualified enough to secure US visa at the embassy . Mofo what does TPS have to do with not obtaining a visa . Tps is a temporaey relief handed by the majority of congress residing here. U jerk .be a man fool. I was in the same boat like u earlier .When i went to embassy to get the visa back then, they didn’t say me a single word regarding tps.
