just a thought......

I am going back to nepal after 5 years here in the USA
I had a good job and my H1 was on the way, however, I dediced that a stuck up job over here is not worth it. I want something better. Better in this though is defined as better for Nepal. I have heard a lot of people say that you can help nepal a lot by staying here. However, i disagree. Until and unless I go back and understand what it is to work in Nepal, how the system functions, I will not be able to help Nepal. Now dont get me wrong, I know from a lot of hearing other people, how things work in Nepal, but how do u really know unless you experience it first hand?
The reason I am writing all this is because my decision has some how made me look stupid. I am giving all this "good life" up to go work in Nepal.
Oh coomon, people, If everybody left America when it was still developing would America be what it was today. We as the educated people of nepal want it sooo good. We just want to go to some developed country and have the "good life". Who's going to develop nepal if we all think that way.
I'm not saying lets all goo back. What I am doing in venting my frustration. To all the people that think I'm stupid, PLEASE DONT JUDGE ME. This is what I want and this is "happiness" for me.

ignore people and mass critique. u can never make all of them happy. people would be criticizing/tormenting u no matter what; so who cares right??

but if u have made this decision,thoroughly, then I am sure u would be happy. u would need a lot of courage and strong will/determination for this.

I sincerely salute for ur step. u r better than lot of us. u have done something extraordinary. this makes lot of people envious of u causing them to critique ur decision.

zara i am so thrill with your decision and the big step that you are going to take for good. It is a very tough decision to make but i am sure it will worth it. It is very true that Nepal's condition is not very good at this time and it was never better befor too. Je bhaye pani afno bhaneko afno nai ho. Angur Baba Joshi, a famous socialist woman of Nepal, once said, " Don't let people judge you. You have to rate yourself, not others."

Having said that, I also would suggest you not to goto Nepal because of frustrations in US. U might end up being frustrated in Nepal as well. Even in this environment Nepal has a lots of oppertunities, so hope you will serve your nation while making a good life out of yourself. But do that in a POSITIVE note. This should be your path of choice, not the last resort. Conquere, don't surrender.

You did great by deciding to be in Nepal. I feel sorry for those who are in USA: you live in a place that pollutes endlessly, eat junk food in fractured society ruled by bird-brain. They have no less threat of terriorism then in Nepal. I am sure no one can compaire quality of life which is still better for most of the people in Nepal. If present problem is solved, there is no better place to live then in Nepal ? welcome to you all.

I would like you to once again look back at your name" Zarathustra" and what it all stands for. I am sure you are influenced by Nietzsche and his creation, hence you should not worry about what other's think of your decision.
People took him as crazy due to his writing, and crazy he died proving that sometimes craziness is what is required for convincing to walk the path you choose, one that is Nobel, respectful and full of National Character.

There is no way for me to go back to place for which I gambled with my life to get out.
I will not survive in Nepali social culture.
I'll not survive in Nepali socio-political culture.
And I have a radical ways of thoughts in both respect.
