Here We go,

NCAA footballl season kicked off just A week before the NFl did.

We had already seen some major Upsets. Like the losses of Auburn Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners. there are some new and Exciting players as well as teams. Sure, Spurrier Dynasty part II had begun in USC. Urban Meyer is upto new adventues in Sunshine state. CHarlie Weis is trying to mimic the success of NE PAts in Notre Dame and T. Willlingham is up West in Washington. and Most Importantly Pete Caroll is going for 3peat just like the NE pats are in the NFl.

Bring your stuffs here and lets get the NCAA season going.

It seems like the Huskers got You fired up AX. That's always good.
Oh man, the Buffs were playing the Best team in the NATION. Whenever Texas had the ball it looked like a video game to me. Young will complete almost every single pass and etc. Buffs got burnt. But I will tell you this: Buffs will be ranked in Top 25 before the season ends. If those statsticians and voters were to be equally fair to all the teams in the nation BUffs should be ranked this week. How about this? CU is 4-2 and still is tied for the lead in BIG 12. Both of their Losses came against the teams Ranked within TOP 8. And more importantly both of those games were played on the ROAD. If Tennessee with 3-2 record is ranked #19 (yeah they beat LSU) then why shouldn't the Buffs be ranked at all??
Even The Huskers haven't played that many tough games. Yeah Raiders are ranked higher now but that's about it. I am not a Huskers hater (hey its still Big 12) but I think they had an easier schedule and they get to play bunch of games at HOME. Yet, I thought Pittsburgh should have beaten the Huskers. Nevertheless it's good to see another Big 12 in BCS ranking.

USC stole the game from IRish. Dam what a fniish. The Trojans were 3rd and 25 and then 4th and 9 before hitting the HOME RUN pass. How can the Irish let the fast Wides (Jaret and Smith) on man on man coverage. And those Corners were playing very closely and when the ball was thrown... they got beaten. And oh that BALL could have gone anywhere. Unfortunately for the Irish the Fumble went out of bounce giving the ball back to Trojans at 1/2 yard line. Charlie Weis and Company were so close to end the TRojans streak. Who knows they might have to wait for a year longer.

I thik Big 10 is really messed up. Wisconsin-Michigan-Mich. state-Penn state - Ohio State-Minnesota, have been beating each other. Seems like anyone can beat anyone on any given day. And they are all playing really close games. I think Michigan is still a good football team. Their losses have been really close ones (ND by 7pts, Wisconsin by 3 and Minnesota by 3). And all those teams are still ranked in top 25. Not just that most of the Wolverines opponents are ranked. They just need to play better Defense.


Wow Virginia Knocked the Seminoles out of top 10. ACC looking good for my Eagles :) And oh man Joe Patterno had a heart breaker.... dying seconds and Michigan needed a TD from 4th and 10 (or so) to win.. and they just did that. ARE THE NITTANY LIONS BACK YET?? I thought LSU wasn't that good this year (after their loss against Vols) but they seem to play solid defense and beat the opponents in close games. Auburn is making their case of their own since losing the Opener. Oh they have to play Georgia Saturday. That will be interesting. TCU been impressing me in recent years. ANd now they are 6-1.

Big games coming this weekend.
Biggest might be TTU at Texas. Cross town rivals trying to cease each other's unbeaten streaks. TTU might not have played the toughest teams but they have beaten the ones they have played and beaten convincingly as well. Big game for BIG 12 as well since the Winner might win the big 12 as well (Big 12 North might not be able to beat Big 12 South yet again).

The Vols will take on the Unbeaten BAMA and that game will also have a huge impact on SEC turnouts. That game will also show the character of those two teams. Bama can go 7-0. How many of you have thought that before the season began? And then Auburn travels to Baton Rouge. A loss might mean Out of top 25 for the Auburn Tigers. There can't be two Tigers in the same Arena? OR can there be?

I am seeing USC going undefeated once again. Maybe UCLA or California can beat them down the road. If UCLA are for real (#8 ranked) then they should give some competition. But again they will be playing at USC. That will be my last hope of seeing USC not going to the National Championship game.

And see how MY eagles are doing in the ACC?? Tied with FSU for the lead in ACC-Atlantic. Their Big-Game, the biggest game of the season perhaps will be on OCT 27th against #3 ranked Virginia Tech Hokies. It's an Away game but I still believe eagles can beat them. Oh they can go 10-1 in the season. Not too bad.

Anyways, I hope to see the Sooners Rebound from this awful season in 06. Big 12 should win the Championship this year. I am confident Hokies and LongHorns can both beat the Trojans. But it?s too early to draw conclusions. Let's see how each week goes.

Yeah I know, I meant to say LSU but I typed in Goergia, but later on I did mention the battle of the tigers. These teams are playing good football and getting unnoticed by the ESPNS. It might be their early losses causing them to lose the attention from the national media/audience. I am a neutral fan when they play each other.

If miracle is to happen, I will say Washington will beat USC. Now that's just miracle. Can someone please knokout the Trojans.

Proud bro, Huskers seem to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overhyped. This team might be worse than last year team. I didn?t find them good after watching their game against Mizzou Tigers.

Huskers are known for their running game and they were net -2 in the running department last game. Last game must be the most horrible Huskers game I have ever seen. How in the earth can you have MINUS running game??? Coach and AD ought to be fired. Hopefully some Huskers loyal will come up with the http://www.FireBILL .com site. It?s a disgrace to the Huskers fans. I don?t think we will be this bad if Coach Solich was still with the team?..

Well the HUskers.... first 4 games against some lowly teams.. they really shone. Oh they almost beat the red Raiders as well. But again, they find their backs against the wall. They couldn't beat MIzzou tiger, but hey Mizzou tiger are a good football team anyways. But yeah the Running game just sucked Badly. THe "West Coast" offense was supposed to be Passer friendly. Huskers certainly do not look too comfortable on the air attack. And when their Ground Attack becomes ineffective, there is going to be a problem. But still their season is not over, and their record is not that bad. last year they went 5-5(if i am right). Now the huskers should count on CU to beat Mizzou and then beat CU later in the year. Maybe a 3 way-tie can somehow benefit the Huskers. Haha.. again I am counting on CU to win the North.

Wake up COllege Football Holiccccssssssss,

Season is not over yet but most of you seems to be tired already? is it the Home-teams making you sick or just that NCAA is getting boring?

Haha.. MY BC eagles are still good (nevermind the loss to the hokies), and the IRish are on a roll. Colorado is looking to claim the NFC North Title and looking for some paybacks against the Longhorns when they (possibly) face each other for bIG 12 Crown. Yet, The Longhorns should come up with even bigger CROWN- NATIONAL Title.

BTW, those cowboys did scare the longhorns. But, history remained protected. Cowboys go up by a lot early on and the Longhorns bounce back with Plenty of unanswered scores. That's how those two been finishing as of late.

Oh.. the BUlldogs lost Shockley for the game and they lost theirr unbeaten streak. Not just that but also the shot to play for the National Title (not lost totally), and also failed to claim their divison in SEC.

With all the big games coming ahead-- I will be watching the Hokies play the Hurricanes. Not just me, all those teams in contention of the national title will be watching as well. Not too many BIG games this weekend. Stanford is good-perhaps not too good to Upset USC on the road. Wisconsin and PSU might be playing the game that might decide the Big 10 title. Aggies and the Raiders will be beating each other for the sake of their rivalry. The vols playing on road agains the Irish might be another interesting game. Of course, mizzou vs CU game will be important as far as the BIG 12 nOrth standing goes.

But hey... there are plenty of big games in week 11.

I was puttiing hold to post on this thread hoping UNL will fired impotent Coach Callahan.. hahhahahahah..... He seems to be going out soon after the throat slash gesture to the umpire.... Hope they will fire him soon..... already seen enuf west coast offnese.... I like to see ex Huskers as a coach..... I don?t think outsiders like Callahan knows what the Huskers and the huskers tradition is all about..? Huskers fans can?t wait for another 2 years to be a competitive team?.. just forget about West Coast offense and run the damn ball?.. isn?t that the Huskers are known for??? run the power running/option offense? bulldoze the defense?.

Few weeks back I was talking about the Big 12 championship game, now I am happy with another win so they can be bowl eligible?? I am sure most of the huskers feel the same way as i do.... morale is down.... Huskers is the main sporting event in NE and I don?t know how they are handling these losses? please fire the AD and coach and make our lives easier.........

Didn?t get to see much college football this time?What?s up with ranking? 1 loss teams like LSU and Miami ahead of 8-0 Bruins??? Now i understand why PAC-10 fans grievience.... I think PAC-10 is a lot better than people out East think?.. After starting to watch many PAC-10 (got no choice hehehheeh) games, I am starting to appreciate them more?. Their passing efficiency is incredible and fun to watch... Do PAC-10 QBs end up in NFL than other division??? I have to check the stat.... LSU barely beat the AZ State, currently stands 6th in the PAC-10 division and ranked before 2nd best PAC 10 team :=) wherez big SEC fan Carnell Williams??? Can you tell us how this can happen???

This year SEC has no clear superpower like Texas and USC. Sec offense is really down this year. I have yet to see any SEC teams to play any kind of offense. But We rule in defense. It seems like most of the SEC teams are just concentrating on the defense and offense are just scoring a touch down or 2 just enough to have thier defense to win the game.

For Bruins being number 8, I understand your agony. They should be numer 5 as long as they are unbeaten. Win is a Win ..right. Eventhough they keep coming back and win it ugly ;). To be honest, I really do not think Alabama is number 4 which we will find out when they play LSU and Auburn, So I am yet to be sold on them.

Before we compare PAc 10 and SEC, you have to taken into account that in the West Offense is everything and they take too many risk to score a touch down by throwing the ball. In the South and especially in SEC, conservative play calling is the order of the day. You see lots of Smash mouth football in SEC as in running the ball and grinding thru the defense. West coast teams are fun to watch because they have lots of high scoring games and likewise they also do give up lots of point on the other end. SEC football are comparitively boring to watch as they stress so much on defense and they run the ball most of the time. No wonder they call Auburn as Running Back University. If you are a big fan of defense and ole' smash mouth football then SEC is the place to be.

I am no fan of LSU and this is by no means in defense of LSU. But ..Same ASU had USC handed thier asses to them and USC is ranked what again? Do not tell me that USC did not struggle mightily against ASU:). So did LSU. And the last time I checked both LSU and USC barely won against ASU. But again like I said, UCLA should be number 5 right now unless they are beaten which they will;)

I don't know what are you guys talking about, but last timeI checked the BCS standings UCLA was placed right at #5 spot. But yeah on thoseAP polls and USA today polls Miami is still number 5. Well let's not worry about it too much.. cuz one of those Hokies or Canes wil be falling behind.. this Coming Monday.

I think all the conference are all tight. Big 10 is pretty interesting actualy. Those teams score a lot of points and give a lot of points. Its not exactly west Coast offense but its just the way they run thier offense and defense. But if we just talk about the numbers (yards) on grounds VS on Air.... their are handful of hefty RBS all around America. But yeah SEC is little conservative in their pursuits. But then I haven't seen any DOMINATING team in SEC. Georgia might have gone unbeaten but.... Shockley was out of the game against the Gators. I havent seen more than 2 games Auburn have played this year. Seems like they are at least a year behind to be their dominating self. LSU is pretty good but NOTHING have been really eye-catching of them. I don't think people will be talking about VOLS anymore this season. BAMA is making its own cinderella story. But their games against MISSISSIPPI and TEnNESsEE had raised my eye-brows. The way they are playing right now I see them losing their last two games when they play the two Tigers (LSU at home and AU on road).

I think ACC has been really competitive this year. As of now ACC is the only the conference with 3 teams in top 10 in any of those polls. This might change since Hokies are set to play 'Canes. but nevertheless ACC is being little underlooked. As of PAC-10 yes they do play good football but other than USC/UCLA and occasionally ASU, there aren't many teams we talk about or hear about. And then Big 12 has been really quiet this year. Other than LOnghorns looking to make it to the number 2 spot on the ranking and making itself National Championship Game bound.. there aren't many big news.

As far as the teams on top 3, I think Hokies are the most stable. It is proven that teams can score against USC and Texas whereas Hokies haven't allowed more than 17 pts. But again, I don't think Hokies are better than the ones ahead of them :)

Maybe this weekend will give us lot to talk about.

Oh now ALabama will be looking for Major Upset on the number 1 and 2 spots. Boy didn't they have hard time againstThose MISS. ST. Bulldogs... what a fight? Gators almost ..... lost.

dam Those Hurricanes made those hokies look like clowns. What a classic battle. My BC eagles lost again. Damn opening kickoff. Longhorns Looked impressive when they nEEded to. UCLA.. what a stinker? Wildcats ... haha that game was a JOke. NW.. comeback (onside kick recovery) was terrific. So its going to be USC-Texas-BAMA, 1-2-3. I think Hurricanes shall be #3. But again Bama might not survive the Two Tigers to close their season (and then the SEC champ. game if they make it up there).
Wow The IRish won impressively. And Nebraska lost badly. What happend to the 5-0 start? (or was it 4-0?) The bUFFS rock. Look at the two teams who beat them. Longhorns and H'canes. Seems like Buffs are going to play Longhorns Yet again. Big 12 title.

I am little disappointed with the back to back losses by the BC eagles. SHould have beaten the Tarheels... and ACC divison title would have been CLOSER for their grasp. Now it's over for the year. So far a successful camp in ACC.

ANother exciting College Game DAY.

Ah.. the Canes got knocked out of Acc contention.
Bama.. as I had expected went down against both the Tigers.
And USC survives yet another Scare.
PSU wins the Big Ten and is BCS bowl bound.
Notre Dame can take control of their own destiny and go to a good Bowl game.
AH..... them Red Raiders... took the Cotton away from my Sooners. Ah... that was a bad loss ... ah with the last play of the game.

Okie I can't wait for the Longhorns vs Trojans showndown. Wow.. Reggies Bush was electric. But again dude committed too silly plays (fumble on retur and a SIlly Penalty), which helped them Bulddogs get 14 points on the board.

wots wrong with PAC 10 teams fellas, they always get robbed by BCS... last year it was CAL now 10-1 Oregon ... they won't be playing BCS bowl game while two 9-2 teams are squaring off for the Fiesta Bowl.....

You know it. Oklahoma is my favorite. That Buffs beating of Huskers back in 01, and yet Huskers got to play in the Big game (rose Bowl against Miami), had made me like the Buffs. But yeah I like Colorado, beautiful. SOmewhat like Nepal. Not that Lincoln is not that good. It rocks too.

But then I have been realizing that Texas have been one ofthe most Under-appreciated teams in recent years. Mostly because of playing under the shadows of Sooners inBig 12 SOuth. Had I been a Sooners (attended OU) I surely won't like Texas but Texas deserve some love.

Damn Buffs ended up COLD. Really COld. lol 70-3, could have been 100-3. Butthen that had Helped "VInce" in his Heisman RUN. So,its all good. Hey watchout for Buffs when they play Clemson. All the FIRES might explode at once.

Yeah, Huskers are lucky to play WVines. THat game will draw lot of tv viewers. I just hope they can keep the HIGH OCtane wV'ines out of the endzone. I think it will be 49-24 in the favor of MICHigAn. Now, what is my link with the W'Vines?? oh.. Brady went there.

Yeah with just one loss- Oregon should have been the TECHNIcAL favorite to get into Major BCS bowl. But then I think the Irish deserved the respect equally. After all its Charlie Weis factor.
