Dear Friends,
Who love Nepal from deep within their hearts,
Have you ever wondered the situation of Nepal right now and think the situation is hopless? Well, it might seem so but even in this darkness we have come to the light of many things unknown and the revelation of the double-faced mysterious person, none other than, King Gyanendra of Nepal.
Although I am not a "rajabadi" I had high hopes that when the King took over total power things would turn out to be different in a positive way. But, in the next 24 hours bought total dismay not just me but true-Nepalese. Here was a King who was talking of having a clean people in his hand-picked cabinet just a day earlier and then in the days and months to come he neatly picks up people who are in a huge loan defaulters, criminal and corruption background. Just take the other pilot of this engined failed plane Dr. Tulsi Giri. He hadn't paid his loan he toook two decades back and here was the government announcing greatly that the loan defaulters of the national bank would be severly dealt inconspicious of the fact that the pilot of the ill-fated jahaj had a nasty captain who could only crash their hopes. And, there comes the fore-runner of this "Feb 1st" movement who is also the spokesperson of the government Tanka Dhakal who also has due to pay for the loan he took from Agricultural bank about a decade earlier. Then, there was more proving of cleanliness when the ministers of economics, agriculture and defense embroiled in a bid to "earn fairly" in the importing of fertilizers from India and sell them in Nepal at an enormous rate. Just what was left was a person convicted of "attempted-murder". What is there to lose for the King ? that vacancy was also full-filled when Jagat Gauchan who was prison two decades ealier was given a ministerial postion. But, why the hell does the King think of Nepali who was tasted a decade and one-half of democratic practive? The King should realize that when he himself has chosen the people from the by-gone era of autocratic panchayat era with no real motivation to help but just a "bhajan mandali" to sing his praise how can the country move forward?????? Just a look at the cabinet of ministers can make you vomit. "Even I am better than the ministers that King has chosen," you could say to yourself. How on earth does the King think he's the boss around here and do as he please.
When King "promised"(really???at least he did say that on speech) I belived that the security situation would improve. There were a couple of months of silence in the valley at least then when policewomen was killed and bomb exploded at several places the claims of "feeling secure" by the people was no more. Does the King really think that you can make peace by being a terrorist himself? Pouring billions of rupees of foreign aid and a huge amount of tax payers money to buy guns and bullets is no mere excuse for peace. In fact, he wants to strenthen his own grip on power by the help of military and police. He infact wants to make the brothers fight when he happily baths in their blood. This isn't just an excuse. Otherwise, why isn't he or his government ready to have a formal talks with the Maoisits? King said he wanted to bring peace but when the maoisits wants peace why aren't they positive at least? I know the maoists had used peace talks as a means to amass their ammunitions and backups to fight back up but isn't the goverment looking like a clown in front of a well-dressed people? Forget about human rights in Nepal. It doesnt' exists...........at least on the overall. If we had human rights don't the people have the right to protest in the core city areas of Kathmandu????Whose money makes these roads and stuffs? The tax payers money, exactly. So, do they mean that we also become "bhajan mandali" (group of praise singers) ? No, we must become a sheep in the midst of goats because then we can have our own worth. Besides, if the King is really democratic and because he is also the who runs the government people have every right in the world to critisize him.
It is said that people who live in a glass house shouldnt' throw stones at others house. Well, if we look at the "background" of King's family it seriosly isn't fit to rule their own lives, let alone Nepal. Take Crown Prince Paras, he has a very self-indulgent attitude. He's supposed to have shown to princely "rawaf"(influcence) even before he was a crown prince. For instance, he ran over a musician but later he placed higher than law by placing another person as the driver of that vehicle. The $20,000 mo-bike that he rounds around Kathamandu might make him feel princely but all the people feel is that they are being robbed from their paid tax to feed some one who was a voracious appetite for luxury. It is well known that going to disco is like going to restroom for us and posess absolutely no diplomatic or political lesson or royal lesson. Pathetic person! King Gyanendra himself is no exception. The very mysterious circumstances that he became King is evident to the whole world but in terms of life ...........may be he has given "cheating-from-public funds" credit course to his son, Paras, I guess. I just looked up an article of benefits the royal family gets from the government and during the time that King Birendra was gunned down it was just 90 millions rupees ( for total security expense of the palace). Soon after, it jumped up to 630 millions rupees when Gyanendra came to power. Isn't that hypocrisy at it's worst. Ridiculous!! Here was are paying taxes to the government cutting down from our own dal-bhat and there the King is rejoicing paying to attention to accountibility as if it were his self-earnt money.
King Gyanendra is a total hypocrite and there is no reason in applauding the royals. I am not saying this because I am mad at Kingship but because the limit of King's power isn't limitless. He says to curb terrorism but becomes terrorist himself, he says to protect democracy but cuts down all the pillars of democracy(freedome of speech,PRESS ,etc). He says to have smooth administration with "worthless ministers". It's really pathetic. King is on a devil's rampage to burng himself. He's set his own house on fire. The Monarchy is going down if it persists in this way. And, those who follow the King do it in hope that their things can be under the table or want to have their own devilish thoughts materlized through the King.
Dear King Gyanendra,
Oh! How much We the Nepalese would love to love you but you just aren't worthy of our respect and love. In the history of mankind, never has peace been achived through the barrel of bullet and above all, we can't "demand" respect only command.
From the greatest lover of Nepal and it's People
