"As long as we have democratic leaders who make billions in a few years, the future of the royals is totally secure... " Newlynew Totally agreed on this one. No matter all how much hue and cry, the revolution for democracy will not be successful if there is no leadership change. Kathmandu is the play maker. In 2046, the revolution was successful because Ktm was invovlved. Now Ktm locals do not give a damn cause of this leaders. Show us the agenda of the leaders to secure the future of Nepal and we will support you if we like the agenda, else we will sugest alternative. Till then jump as you can, cry as you can, we do not give a f***. Peace

--->As long as we have democratic leaders who make billions in a few years, the future of the royals is totally secure... --- I agree this... BUT Rajahaarule khayeka chhaina ra desh ko sampati...They have taken that more than these netas...Have been using nation's wealth for their own sole purpose for more than 300 hundred years.... SO, K aaba rajahaarulai maaf garne aani rajahaarule j gare ni hunchha bhanera basne... And Raybati...I agree that there was lots of corruption in 12 years of Democracy...But wasn't it present during the Panchayat era..and before that and before that...I myself think that all the defaulters and corrupt should be hanged dead in front of public mass by the public themselves... BUT My point is system needs time to get itself polished...But see how much time a REAL DEMOCRACY has got in our country...AND how much time Raja rajautas have got, and what they did till now...Compare the systems... and choose what you like...Its ur choice... My choice is REPUBLIC!!!! NIrman~*

Nirman Bhai: You missed out on the boat again. Looks like you are never able to catch one... Let me put this for you in simple steps. 1. To get rid of the monarchy, there will be a lot of blood shed. People must sacrifice themselves. 2. People will not sacrifice themselves if what they get after getting rid of monarchy is the corrupt leaders who are if not more as much fugged as the gang of royal criminals. 3. Therefore, leaders must behave before they can event think of replican Nepal. 4. The end...

Yeh Nirman.I am with you to sacrifice myself in such a revolution. Those who can tolerate injustice deserve injustice. People who love freedom always speak against injustice. A democratic republic of Nepal is the only option available for our country now.

What system of government works for Nepal depends on lot of things. Reality is, in the long run we WILL have the kind of government that INDIA wants us to have. Mark my word that is the truth. If India puts a blockade in Kolkata we are all dead meat. So in the long run we will have DEMOCRACY!! There is no doubt about that. However, let's look at the system of governments: 1) maoism --- has been around only recently 2) Democracy - constitutional monarchy/republic - has been around and if we look deep find a begining of it as well. 3) the MONARCHY system has been around for a long long time (thousands of years) If Nepali state fails as the fear mongorinmg westerners are stipulating these days ... in a political sense, the royal family has most to lose --- thus by extension the king has most to lose. And my thoughts about the KING being corrupt, at least they he has a rellatively full pocket, however the netas have a lot of empty pockets. Regardless, if a RICH netas like Giraja, Madav Kumar comes and puts in a constitutional ammendment that each political leader must submit a financial statement of some sort before they they are elected and while they are in office an oversight "body" of some kind has full rights to examine their finances and during their time in office they only accumulate a reasonable amount of wealth (their salaries) then ... if we can do this I am all for democracy TODAY ... if not I am willing to give the KING, although I don't have much faith in the future of the kingship, a chance to defeat the terrorists who are abducting our chuildren and teachers alike. Stop this nonsense of the elite Baburam and the trecharous Pushkar! BTW, just an off track ... One Pushkar is robing Nepalis of their freedom in Nepal and another Pushkar is robbing Nepalis of their money in the west ... is this coincidence or what!! RBT Ciao

We've got quite some martyrs here in Sajha, huh. But they seem to miss the whole point. That is ?Action speaks louder than words.? Or else they would not be here. Isn?t there some kind of revolution going on in Nepal right, anyway? Hhhmmmmmmm. Cowards.

RAYBATI, SO Rajako Khalti Bhareko chha bhanera aajha bharna dine??...That doesn't seems a valid reason to me...and How do u get over terrorism?? By killing half of population...Maoist's injustice of killing and kidnapping should be condemned in every level, I agree...But haven't that revolution been on rise to overcome the injustice happening from hundred of years...The solution is not military, its SOCIO ECONOMIC...and should be done by addressing them, NOT by travelling on military fatigue around the country and appointing most corrupt and culprits as ministers... And Newly new, Don't start the personal attacks....If you can't give a valid reason...then just leave the topic....I GIVE FUG TO PERSONAL ATTACK LIKE YOURS.... AND PASU, The leaders doing revolutions these days are not the ones I would like to lead my country. READ MY COMMENTS AGAIN, IF YOU HAVEN"T UNDERSTOOD IT Cowards!!!...I don't need to show and prove my guts to 2 pence comments like urs pasu...

"The solution is not military, its SOCIO ECONOMIC." I agree with that to some extent. Once the Maoist put down the arms and come to forefront of the socio-political movements ... that's what we will need to do. We need to focus on socio economic developments in Nepal. I have decided to go to Nepal when I am retired at 52 (I have ways to go still)... but at least I have a set plan in my mind to go and work in Nepal and be a technical resources to Nepal. Hushpuppy is right we do need the new blood in all aspect of life in Nepal: 1) Culture - are we ignoring ours and just simply replacing them with western culture 2) Religion - be it Hinduism or Buddism, are we losing the basic philosophy of what these religions stand for? 3) Infrastructure - are we being set back 50 years by both Maoists and the Army destroing our current infracture? 4) Politically in nepal we are still living in the days of BP and King mahendra and Mao! We new new blood, definitely. 5) Socio economic development ... There are alot of other things we need to do in Nepal. RBT Ciao

reybati i think u have more india ko bhoot. as u said blockade in kolkota, it doen't matter for nepal. if india blocks, they have to start after one week. another, in 12 yrs how much netas has corrupted....... but in 2 yrs KG has more than that. royal families car, notor bike, their expenses in aboard tour, internal tour, every thing is more than 12 yrs cost. so why we need KG. wat he will do for nepali? jand khayara janata chora lai kichera marne raja? if u r thinking abt the future of nepal n going back to nepal, who is in coming face in KG?
