Prithivi N. Shah used gun powder not weapon of love while unifying Nepal.Unification itself was emperialistic vision because Nepal wasn't a single country before gorkha expansion.History is past but this is present.Current monarch if it is willing to stay should ask for forgiveness with Nepalese people for the past flaws including the maoists. Even Siddhartha Gautama would have taken maoists side looking at current political situations. They are the lesser of all the evils. Yes guys.....reality bites...doesn't it?

iZen you son of a b**** come back and tell me maoist is budha, after they have either blown up your dad or hacked him to death or raped your sister infront of you even raped your mother infront of you... sorry for using harsh language but it hurts when someone compares maoist as buddha.. you have not faced the evil of maoist... this is similar to say "Achano ko chot khukuri le jandaina..." Moreover what I said in first line is not swearing it is reality maoist are doing... thats truth... after you suffer from all those then come here are justify why you think maoist is buddha... bullshit piece of crap...

Izen bro, I usually enjoyed reading your posts. they usually make sense and sometime very informative or entertaining.. blah.. blah... But, this one I'm really astonished to see a really cheap opinion about Buddha. Specially when you replied to the anynomous above << Come forward only if you have enough persuasion to prove this wrong? Please don't waste your valuable time if you don't have enough reasons>> My opinion is you don't have a proof to prove the statement you made so why the hell should he prove the one he made? I agree with prem dai, you must have been high or were in cracks when you posted this. Again..... just an assumption comparing your other posts to this one. I wouldn't think you'd write these stuff and then blame the person who responded by saying "don't come forward without a proof" if you were sober. Anyways, give us your thoughts.....

If I may, the concentrated attack against izen is simply a result of misunderstanding/misreading his post. Nowhere has he claimed that 'Buddha is actually a Maoist'. By referencing Buddha, as I understand, he/she was simply made a point that the Maoists are not 'as bad' at least in theory as we have been made to believe or come to believe. And that if hypothetically Buddha was actually around, he could have seen a reason as to why such insurgency took place in the first. A common-man by now is able to understand what Maoists are, why they do the things they do and would not need an avatar like Buddha for that.

sathi iZen, you should see your psychiatrist on a regular manner and take regular medication. Dont fool around dude, it can get really dangerous and symptoms are already being observed. Dont worry dude, take the medicines regularly and see your mental doctor regularly and I hope you will be fine sooner than later.

Thanks everyone for your time for responding in this thread.I think there has been misunderstang interpreting my thoughts here.It wasn't my intention to incite hatred and compare the greatest soul like Buddha who incarnated on earth with the violent minds of whoever are using killing mechanisms. I was simply comparing the rebellious images of two entirely different times in the history of humankind. One that used compassion and non-violance centuries back and the other that are using animal like violent manners today.I oppose violance in everystep of life.I oppose maoists killing people but I oppose my own ignorance too that is skeptic and take sides without understanding them.We are all humans and we should all live in harmony that is my principle on life.I feel I have been ignorant all these years but I don't want too.I oppose not maoists but my own ghosts that haunts me everytime with its ugly face reminding me as a Nepali why do I have to fear a fellow nomatter which ever quest they are seeking.Furthermore what saddens me is that deficiency in our so-called democratic leaders to look through heart to fellow nepalese rather than their head. The classes the elites have created among themselves ignoring the downtroddens. I oppose violance not simply of guns but violance of minds as well.If you read my posts since I have been writing here I am proud to say I have used the word love in almost all of my responses. But do I get responses on those posts.NO, it looks politically incorrect to use the love these days....love donot exists in "kaliyug".I say it does....my life would have been impossible without love. I believe if one uses harsh word against another that is a violance too.Yes I agree I wasn't able to elaborate roots of my last night thoughts which ended up in a rough ride.I apologize if I have personally hurt anyone's feeling.Well,I did get the picture of what one-sided political philosophy can do to you.Yes it blindfolds you.Either you see it black or you see it white. If you look closely there is gray matter that exists in all of us. Prajatantra thanks for your nice words.:)... And everyone else please from this tihar lets us speaking through our heart and head. and THINK...before we use violance in the form of words against others. :)

i truly belive Buddha is the first preacher of communism....surrender everything and lead a sacred life...This is something monks have been doing for ages....as for rest of us monkeys..we like to snatch everything from each other..that includes both the banndar senapati's..well make that all of the political senapatis in Nepal...I wonder when all the monkey business is going to end??

hehehe, my stance is people first. But about the maoists, yo know there are some who are just brainwashing the innocents, giving them the false hope. Personally, before they came to rise, althought there was corruption, lotta businesses were getting in Nepal. Slowly economy was developing. To maintain the international standared and to sustain the presuure, a framework to filter out corruption would have been formed. ex: CIAA. But man looking back is all regrets. Thats good. I like your stance. Let promote love and peace. No to violence. No to any killing. Peace out

They say love and politics cannot go together.I say politics is impossible without love....so I am misunderstood. Highfly, I am impressed with your love for non-violance...trust me...never doubt the strength of compassion...never...if you do that is greatest betrayal of all....you will be victorious...try to love human as humans...political ideologies are politicians /elites's path to seek short-cut to power....thats all..there is no greatest political theory as humanity....

iZen, Politics is not my field. I wanna peace in Neapl. I wanna see Nepal head back to be prosperous. I wanna see people find opportunity, safety in Nepal. I am sick of the war. Hate will brew more hate. Violence will lead to more violence. You know, its a vicious circle. To break this circle, everybody should comprimise. Good to see somebody for peace and humanity. HF salutes you. HF for peace in Nepal

Salute accepted HF :), Glad to see a like-minded dreamer here at sajha. I noticed some of my dear friends we upset for my degrading of Siddhartha Gautama in the thread.I meant his teachings of compassion and his extraordinary ability to penetrate into heart and souls of disturbed minds like that of a maoist rebel would have worked in this scenario. An eye for an eye is not the solution at this point. It will simply make us blind...only through compassion by the non-violance means will we be able to solve this dead-lock.. Throughout my experience since my birth as a Nepali I have heard more "talks " about how proud we should be as a native of a land that gave birth to Buddha.Ofcourse we should be proud like christians who are born in Bethlehem. In the meantime our pride and ego has simply turned a blindeye to the core of buddhist teachings. We are proud to see statues of Buddha everywhere we go but have we ever asked if we have lived our life based upon what he had taught us.We have betrayed Buddha by being flocks of statue worshippers the very dogmatic ritual he was against and not taking his words by heart. His teachings are his greatest legacy...I think. Lumbini Development Trust has been a begging institution for attracting foreign currencies ultimately ending in the deep pockets of corrupt monarchy. And we want to be proud from the land where buddha was born?I am proud an extraordinary fellow came along centuries back in my frontyard and taught me not be blind. And for that matter we should all be.

Ha ha ha...:) Sachi ke... Where do u get these stuff? On psychedelics ho iZen? But then again each nutty individual is still entitled to his own opinion, whether or not it makes sense.I recently came across this book in one of lil Thamel's bookstore,"Jesus died in India" . My mouth went O shaped and i couldn't help but pick it up. :P Someone like you dun u think? Drat! I should have bought it...hee hee. This revolution in Nepal had to happen. It was just a matter of when. And it's always easier for those who are not within Nepal to comment . It will probably get alot worse before it gets any better. :( Gone with the wind...
