Well, we have been seeing a spate of discussions about political condition of Nepal and sexual conundrums in this forum. What is the more bigger problem, political bedlam or system inadequacy in Nepal or sex life of you and your acquaintances (sorta!)Please post your perspectives.

That is the main problem. If people were more aware about SEX as much as poltics, then maybe we would see some changes. Provoking thought, don't you think Biswaji. AS for the SAjhaites, I believe they all identify with the SEX and POLITICS. Sex is politics. It is all about politics. Rahyo sawal, politics ko. I must say, it refers to Sex in many ways. IMAGINE.

mcmxc... you tell us... what would you rather be? Sexually frustrated/challenged freak OR poticalled challenged/frustrated freak? U see why biswo thinks it is not related? When one dominates ur life it is rather difficult to think about another. Not everyone can be a well balanced person like Me :) Simple as that.

Well, I guess my topic has been ridiculed to an extent non-vertical. I guess, you are right. But I am not relating each other here. I have clearly stated my points. Which is a bigger problem to you. In objective way, a) politics , b)sex. I am just curious. We all post our views oin different matters. All I am seeking is which point matters the most to you.

I do not think there is any scope for comparison between the two......eg politics and economics perhaps can be compared. And btw i was not rediculing u at all, i was simply surpeised that no one was writing anything. I saw a post in which vivid details of sex was written and there were so many views and replies....same in the case of political discussions. To me sex is "still" a personal thing not to be discussed in open (because i do not see the point of doing that). If just for fun, go and watch in movies or st. I am not saying we should not it is fun, time pass and sometime informative (for protection against HIV and STDs, i guess) as well. On the other hand, politics need to be discussed, especially in democracy. That will make more people aware of the politics of country and share views. This i believe will strengthen democracy, the discussion about politics i mean. I hope this reply is fine with mcmxc "intended" debate.

I am equally disgusted by both topics especially given the way people have been talking about them of late. Half the threads on "politics" are not about politics - they are about people attacking each other personally. I feel it would be a great service if only the latest thread belonging to a particilar group (ie "Politics", "Humor", "Romance" etc) is posted on the front page instead of updates to every topic. Darjeelingnews.net and Sulekha.com are two examples that come mind of sites that do this. That way people can go to only topics of their choice and get spared the trouble, and sometimes the embarassment, of having to go through so much nonsense. Just my opinion.

Biswaji, I see your point. And I appreciate you for being blatant but truthful. But as an average men, we are being pushed into a new era where everything is chaotic. Sex sells anything. And I am not talking sex as in copulation or relation. I am taking it as a new global phenomenon which enables to open doors otherwise forbidden. You sit and watch TV for an hour. Do an entertainment channel and news channel side by side. What will you see? Politics will disgust you and blatant display of sexual innuendos and imageries will maybe thrill you but still make you think. I enjoy watching sexual content in a program (and I don't refer to actual sex). Be it a video, commercial or talk show. CNN, MSNBC, FOXNEWS, or BBC or whatever news channel you are more used to; what do you see the most in the main news section? Politics. And politics not only in a sense of govenement. Politics in sense of everything related and unrelated. Sex is politically motivated, sometimes. Politics is sexually motivated sometimes. Clinton was criticized for having fellatio-ed by Lewinsky. But he didn't send troops to Iraq to oust Sadddam HUssain and Michael Moore is shouting that George Bush and his administration is incapable, or more or less, supermacists. Do you see the relation between them. But we clearly sideline the issue. People are equally disgusted by the issues. But I bet these very issues cloud us everywhere. Be it home, work or in public. Any Idea how?
