Indian interference
Kathmandu , 2 May: The nation requires an interim constitution for the constituent assembly at this point which could only be introduced by the King, but the Indians have already interfered on this process, writes Charcha weekly.
As the seven parties are busy rejoicing their victory of restoration of parliament by disrespecting King and breaking the regulation of parliament, they are also overlooking the fact that India is trying to persuade Nepal to be like Bhutan through the election of constituent assembly.
If this trouble is not avoided in time then Nepal would go through a dire situation of losing its national sovereignty or even worse the nation itself.

Nation, nationalism: Prime agenda
Kathmandu, 2 May: The main agenda of Nepal right now is saving nation and nationalism as the Indians have already invaded the political scenes of our country, writes Charcha weekly.
Lacking of proper vision among the political leaders in Nepal has compelled the nation and its people to go through various sufferings and hardships. Resulting, the foreign nations harass Nepal openly and relentlessly.
Currently, our border areas are not quite secure which leads to various smuggling and criminal activities. The natural resources have not been properly utilized either.
Our leaders must be aware that the nation should run under its own governance not under the guidance and influence of foreigners.

Going for a lasting republic a tough job
Kathmandu, 2 May: A republic state may be the demand of the Nepalese people at this critical point of unstable politics and weak economy but establishing a lasting republic system in Nepal is very tough, writes NCP leader, Pradeep Nepal in Jana Bhawana weekly.
The culture of discrimination among the political parties still persists in Nepal; a powerful political party is dominating the weaker ones as always.
In order to fulfill the demand for republic nation there must be a revolutionary change among both people and political parties. There must be a freedom of expression among all the members of the political parties.

Amendment of constitution, not a new constitution
Kathmandu , 2 May: The duty of our newly formed parliament and council of ministers is to revise the constitution of 1990 not changing it, writes Dibya Chakshu weekly.
The same parliament members who drafted the constitution of 1990 are now rejecting it and have reached the decision of forming a new constitution.
A nation which is politically unstable cannot run smoothly no matter how strong and effective the constitution is.
The restored parliament and changing of constitution may lead Nepal to be more like Sikkim resulting to a dreadful condition of the nation.

King above the constitution!
Kathmandu , 1 May: The restoration of House of Representatives has shown us a great example of King’s role in the Nepalese politics, writes Janakari weekly in its editorial.
Not only in Nepal, but in almost all the nation with constitutional monarchy, the House of Representatives once dissolved following the process of constitution cannot be restored acting superior to the constitution and neither the political parties are allowed to support it.
The King’s movement standing above the constitution just to keep the nation united and fulfill the wish of general people is quite appreciating. This was possible only because the King has a special place in the Nepalese politics.

The King invoked people's power to restore the House of Representatives which was dissolved by then prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in 2002 and endorsed by a full bench of the supreme court.
Nineteen days of protests supported by New Delhi, London and Washington forded the King to reinstate parliament.
The King has already appointed NC president Girija Prasad Koirala, 85, prime minister after unanimous selection by the SPA.

Maoists have adopted a strategy of appeasement and threat on the coming government to push their agenda of unconditional election for a constituent assembly to adopt a republic.
