Hello Folks,

We're planning on visiting OC for the July 4th weekend. Never been there but heard it's superb!! The accodomation seems to be way too expensive around the area. Can anyone recommend hotels or any place close to O.C. that isn't overpriced.
Also, any other travel suggestions to Ocean City would be of great help.
Thanks.

around that time, everything in OC is going to be hugely overpriced
i think your best option will be to look for hotels in the towns within an hour's drive of OC
berlin, salisbury, selbyville, milsboro are all within 45 minutes
drive to OC in the morning, stay the day on the beach and go back to your place in the evening

Even if you go to Salisbury bro.. which i did last year either it will be full house or the rate for a night will be fly high .. sorry man its just the way it is.. u need to plan in advance. I am sure you will find someone who u know and can crash but it will be easily 400/night deal.

Yes, the prices are ridiculous! Thanks for all your response.

Cool_Keta, never been to OC before so that would be a great help. I'll e-mail you.

Thanks

Cool Keta, how about Sunday night (July 2) - one-night only. Do you have anything available?

Thanks,
JD

Folks,
I ended up making reservations from http://www.fskmotel.com/ at a very reasonable rate ($300 for 2 nights - 4 guests). If you reserve online online, there is a 10% discount. Not sure if they have any more rooms available for the weekend but check it out at: http://www.fskmotel.com/
It's 1 mile from the beach and the resort looks great!!

Cool_Keta, as you can see I am all set so thanks for your willingness to help. Maybe you could help Shefali and John out.

Thanks!
