www.cjnepal.com (Citizen Journalism Nepal), Nepal’s first citizen journalism website had to be turned offline due to US TAX and some IRS issues, but thankfully we have settled all that, and now we are back with even more spirit.
Just get started, you can see CjNepal's ad on the left (on sajha :), and yes you will actually get paid for your articles...
Apart from a regular news site we have decided to make CjNepal Nepal’s first portal, portal in the sense, people "actually" use it as a port of entry into the internet.
Portal, means a lot of things and the lot of things include, the ability to search..lol.. yup.. a search engine... free email, blogs, free websites, free content, community builder and whole lot more.
we with the help of Syracuse University, Google, RedHat, the Open Source community and of course all of you, hope to create one of the most usable website, just not in Nepal but the whole internet!
To get started with, we have leased a few terabytes of data-warehouse space, Amazon’s Search Spider Crawl data access (to create a search engine), 5 super computer nodes and 10 workstation access!! -- You will soon be able to access it at http://search.cjnepal.com.
Not just that... we have something to prove that we are actually doing something... Google is hosting CjNepal’s free email service, you can get a 2 GB web mail with all gmail features including Google chat, (check out, www.google.com/hosted/cjnepal.com)
If you would like to be a part of the next big thing in the internet, this is your chance.
Suggest us features and things you would want to see at CjNepal, we will try our bests to bring it to life, also, if you would like to be part of the CjNepal team, please email us at admin@cjnepal.com or visit www.tupach.com/cjnepal.
