He lost because of his support for the war in the Middle East.
At the same time he is Jewish so he HAS to stand with his motherland against the Arabs.
Its a a double edge sword. With all thats going on in the Middle East more and more Americans are becoming weary of the war. A lot of them want out, another lot O them feel they were tricked and those that have lost their loved ones just want to bring them back home safe. I still think he should just go on and do charity work like Al. go work for the enviroment or something. he he

Do you guys remember that televised Vice Presidential debate? It was ok to be civil in the debate with Dick Cheney, but Lieberman pretty much sold himself out. Instead of challenging Cheney on all the policy fiascos, Lieberman was happy being just a friendly puppy dog on his lap.

Voters did not forget that. Now he paid with the loss of nomination.

I don't think he lost because he supported Bush's decision to go to war. He lost because he, as a senior Democrat, did not challenge the administration enough.

GOP is pretty happy now. the democratic votes will be split between joe liebeman and Ned Lamont. which means republicans have a better chance hehe

John McCain of Democrat party. On a second thought, are these two guys even comparable. I have so much respect for McCain... Just ended up comparing Apples with oranges..
Liberman with end up hurting Democratic party if he runs as an independent but it will effectively destroy his political career also. If that is the chance he is willing to take for his buddy Bush, then so be it. One seat I think will not be able to put the democrats in the back seat this November but it will be enough to put the traitors like Liberman out of democratic party!!

There is a voter revolt happening in some parts of the country. The question is: is the revolt strong enough to change the make-up of Congress? I guess we'll find out come November.
