Let's dedicate this thread for recipe.
I will start with a sweet dish.

Kheer:

Ingredients:
1 litre milk, 1 tbsp basmati rice(washed), 1 cup sugar, 2-3 bay leaves, 5 cardamoms, 4 cm cinnamon, 4 cloves, a pinch of salt, 1 tsp ghee.

For Garnishing:6 almonds(sliced), a handful of raisins, 8 cashewnuts(chopped), a little ghee.

Method:
Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add bay leaves.
When they splutter add 2 tbsp sugar. Lower the heat and stir the sugar.
When it gets dark brown in colour, add milk. When the milk comes to a boil, add rice and stir well.

Pressure cook for 10-15 minutes.When cool, mix the rice and milk well with a hand beater.Add sugar and simmer for 5 minutes.Remove from heat.Powder cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves finely, and add to the milk.Stir well. Heat a little ghee and fry the raisins, cashewnuts and almonds lightly.Add to the milk and serve.

Pjna, aru ta sabai thik chha tara tyo side ma pyaj ra dhaniya kina ni? mukh ganauchha ... 

chipledhunga le mathi toast banaune tarika halya chha ni timro noodle bhanda ni sajilo chha hera ta.

nilu sano khal jasto kutne bhado paauchha yata ta kinna... tapaiko tira pani paauchha hola, why don't u buy that?

Nilu, here is the recipe for Gundruk ko AChar.

Fry the Gundruk on the pan for 1-2 minutes. Add sliced onion, garlic, ginger, chilli, salt and a spoon of oil and mix them properly. You can add sliced tomato and some lemon, if you like.

Do you have food processor? you can otherwise use it to make the small pieves of gundruk else try this:

Soak gundruk in hot water for some time. After it is soaked, squeeze water from gundruk and squuze more in your hand so that it takes a shape of your hand. now chop this gundruk into small fine pieces - like we chop onions or cilantro.

Add the chopped gundruk into a bowl.

Add finely chopped onion into the bowl

Add finely chopped tomatoes and cilantro into the bowl

Add to this red chili paste

Add chopped green chillies if you like

Add tamarind paste (because i do not think we can find lapsi here, use paste as you like sourness, can buyin indian store)

Heat oil in a pan and splatter methi until it is dark in color, add a pinch of hing and pinch of turmeric powder

Add this oil to the bowl with gundruk

Add salt as desired.

finely mix all ingredients and enjoy your achar!!!!!!

I went to buy that khal today but indian store was closed in the morning. That's ok. ma gundruklai glassle ali lai thichera achar banauchu bharai.

Plz timro recipi bhana na sajilo gari tyo timile pakako macha kasari pakaune bhanera.

mathiko recipi ta kasto janjhat cha. ingrediants nai dherai raicha. kasto dikka lagne gari

baru malai timro basi bhatko recipi lekhera tasa na hai?

Well i am all for healthy recipe so i opt for soaking gundruk in hot water for some time. You can also fry them if you like but i think you will not get that fermented smell if you fry---- i have not tried it fried though!

Anyone have good pork and mustard leaves recipe? I do not like to eat pork all by itslef, if it has some leaves, it looks healthy! please share

sidra macha ko achar

ingredients

onion ,ginger garlic either paste or cut ,tomato may be sauce or cut ,oil ,turmeric ,cumin ,coriander powder ,salt and coriander leaf  ,and sidra  macha , green chilli ,use different types u like

so simple as we make like curry sidra macha lai tel ma fry garnu parcha

that has been my concern all this time. How do we remove that masala smell from our Kitchen. When i go to my Americna firend's home, it smells like heaven but when i come to my apartment, it smells so sour and masala and all all mixed up. Anyone found a solution yet for this?

It's a truth that more than 70%  Dhoti Bhaiyas & Bahens stinks a lot. I usually advice you all to take enough precautions while cooking food in you home or apartment whatever. While you are in that place, you never realise that you really stink. Once you get out and step in school, malls etc...then you can smell fouling odour being spreading off you clothes. Though it's damn tasty to have our  typical food with lot of spices, it's not good when somebody near to you feels uncomfortable. Take Care
