A Nepali student Subash Chandra Rai has pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in what police said was the accidental shooting to death of a fellow University of Indianapolis student, news report said Saturday.

Police said they believe Rai accidentally shot Ghamdan Mohammed Abolohom, a 23-year-old UIndy student from Yemen, in the 3000 block of Carson Avenue in May, according to www.theindychannel.com.

Both were playing with a loaded handgun when the weapon fired, police said.

Rai, a 21-year-old who was studying at UIndy, is scheduled to be sentenced in October.

This certainly is a sad news for everyone involved. Yes, Rhythm he was playing with a loaded gun. I dont think we need yet another thread bashing people for one's wrong doing. Mistakes happen in life and sometimes these mistakes are the outcome of irrational thinking. I am sure if we try and rationalize Rai's case, he can also accuse him of being the most stupid person in the world. Thats the reason he is going to October, which I believe is enough for his actions. We dont need another council in sajha saying how dumb he was and etc.etc.

i think this must be a conspiracry to send nepali student to prison.
after all look at the guantanamo prison. all the detainees were not allowed to see the lawyers.
