MeroDeurali, I am confused now; I thought you were against of - in your words: beliefs, principles, concepts and ideas, to void one's mind so s/he can think or act objectively. I partially agree with you. Not a dogmatic, whatsoever. So, The poem was not composed to encourag people to fight FOR beliefs, principles, concepts and ideas. OR, The poem was not composed to encourag people to fight AGAINST beliefs, principles, concepts and ideas. ??

And, I disagree on what you said about the poem. Whatever message the poem conveys, can be interpreted in so many ways. How can you say, what you understood is the ABSOLUTE meaning of the poem and it is against your "principle" (the principle that bars the principle itself)?

anon bro, i think definitions have to be changed in accordance with time. we used to live in a male predominaant society, still do. any product from such a society is bound to be sexist, no doubt. but with the advancement of technology, impartment of education and advent of noble ideas, everything including the "concept" have to be modified for the greater goods of people and the society. as for language is concerned, it is changing according to time. we have more technical words in the vocabulary now. email, internet, spamming, hacking are newly innovated words. some old words have more than one meaning nowadays. to be really honest, i don't even find the need of feminine words like "she" , "her" and so on.we don't have separate second person words in nepali to refer to female gender, do we? then why can't it be applied in english? saput, saputri, suputri should refer to person and not the gender. LooTe
