I cannot believe this particular pandit. My sister was getting married so according to my parents we had to fix the Kundali and stuff for the right date. My sister was in USA before the wedding. Her exams were near. The pandit fixed a date that was right overlapping the exam day. Well so he told my parents that the date is not to be moved and cannot be moved....mark the words CANNOT be moved. My sister was really stressed. Not that we believe in all this but just to make our parents follow thier rituals we were trying everything. I asked my cousin for this pandits telephone number. I asked the pandit if there is anyway he can move the date a little bit later and he was saying No the whole time right until the moment I mentioned that some cash can be arranged in the name of God if the dates are changed. Man...you cannot even imagine how fast he asked me what would be the right day for us, well we paid him $100 later on. The dates are changed, now here come another problem. I told my parents that since after marriage my sister is going back to USA let´s not do the Kanyadaan with the cow because oviously my sister cannot carry the cow to USA and her husband and the whole family live here so that would be a problem. My parents are so Ziddi that they wanted to do the kanyadaan with the cow and me and my sister were looking at the cow and almost crying. We cannot leave the cow on the street and my parents cannot keep the cow once it is donated. Guess who volunteered??? our dear pundit. Later on I found out that it was the pundit who told my parents how bad it is to do the kanyadaan without the cow. I wanted to choke this guy. The funny thing is that he is making a lots of changes with many wedding dates now. This is our family pundit, he has been there for my brother´s wedding, my uncle´s and many other wedding in my family so I am quiet. I am not saying all pundit are the same but this one .....puffffffff
