If you were a student in Nepal you should go to school soon. You would meet people and learn a lot. You can easily find a job in the school. Thats the best way I guess. I wont suggest you to work in the gas station.....anyways good luck!

Isn't it funny to look a DV winner in sajha.com. Thanks God we find one here at least. DV winner and Mexsa are no different, they don't know how to log in sajha. People in Sajha, I guess, have from student back ground. Anyway, wake up DV people! come to sajha, here is lot of fun.

YamRaj, It is funny to read how you think and understimate people man! Why do you think it is "funny" to see a DV winner in Sajha.com? Wake up man! Don't think there are only students who log into Sajha.com. There are people from all walks of life including many DV winners who log into Sajha. What do you mean by " DV winner and Mexsa are no different, they don't know how to log in sajha"?? Can you explain?

DV people can't come their own efforts, they are just lucky, but student are here coming for great achivements. You see people who won Dv have no skills(even DV means for skill workers to be called to develop the cultural diversocity)and 7/11 CVS, gas subway workers are Nepali DV- people. They don't get guts to go to school and explore their education.

Hey yamraj, i agree with you. But i agree with you on only one argument, i.e. yes, DV winners are lucky. they are lucky and it is non of your business to be happy or sad about their situation. If you want to give any suggestion to kilroy then go ahead give him some suggestion, but keep you B.S to youself. "DV people can't come their own efforts, they are just lucky, but student are here coming for great achivements" what does that suppose to mean bro, "own effort"? what do you think visa is granted right after you get that first letter. Grow up man, and stop whining just because you did not get what you wanted. It seems like you only met DV winners at gas station and 7-11 but why are you so worried abt them. Is it because you were trying to get a job there, and DV winners took it away from you. Yamraj you are here for great achievements, my guess would be you never had to work as blue collar, where are you working these days umm let me guess goldman sachs ?

Yamraj, i am a DV winner and i go to university. And yamaraj, skill doesnot comes by your birth. You need to study and work hard for that. And those people who work hard no matter they are DV winners of F-1 students deserves success in their life. So stop blabbing here. You need to grow up yamraj otherwise the real yamaraj gonna pick you up.

YamRaj, Do you know anything about Diversity Program and its minimum requirement? I guess you know only 1% and you still need to know 99% more about it before you making any rational commet. You said "people who won Dv have no skills". I am sorry for your poor knowledge boy! You need to grow up!! Log on to some immigration websites and read and atleast try to educate yourself about DV Program and its minimun requirement. You know what, you are just being jealous of DV winners boy. It takes more than just guts, skills and effort boy! It also takes patience and above all, a LUCK which you have not found yet!! By the way, what is wrong if someone works at 7/11, CVS, gas station, subway etc.? I don't understand why you are being jealouse of DV winners working full-time? Remember; being jealouse does not help you.... it only burns you from inside out. There are many professionals who have immigrated to US under DV Program. Don't expose too much of your level of knowledge saying they don't have guts to go to school and explore their education. Most of them already have enough education, knowledge, skills and they work FULL-TIME. Those who like to go to school still can go. That is not your promlem boy! Just stop being jelouse, focus on your study, when you get a degree, find a FULL-TIME job like a DV winner and be happy!!!!Need any more suggestion or advice??

i am the DV winner 2007 for this year too. Did yahoo start working on your Adjustment status yet or not. I need you to tell me your case number so i can tell your expected date of interview and application. If you apply before your visa number available, you will be rejected. Make sure to look at the visa bulletin of uscis.gov. that will let you know your expected date of application on the basis of your AP number.Keep your finger crossed. The pilot program of status adjustment is available if you live in TX, Ok, an AR. They will process your status adjustment within 3 month. all the best buddy. you got it. jayamatadi

I am also a DV winner. What the heck some people mean by saying DV winners do not have any skills. I was the winner of 2003 and go to university now. I agre with NaakPore and RebelCMX. I see the only reason is that some of these people are too jealous. One cannot get the visa if he/she is not a high school graduate. I am sure there are many people in Sajha who came from DV. So, all jealous guys, try to realize the thing and grow up a bit.

Shattered dreams, thank you for your comment. I am glad to know that you are also a DV winner. I am also a DV winner in the same year. I guess, it is time to show how many DV winners are in Sajha, particularly to those "Jealous guys". What do you think guys?

I mean we might be jealous!! well, i am mean i guess i am kind of jealous but just think about it! why would we say such stuff to people if we haven't seen it or don't have any clue?? like, why point fingers at a certain group of people if there isn't any evidence to back it up?? yeah, there might be some people, but i def. agree with yam raj for the majority of dv winners. I am not saying it's a bad thing at all!! but it is the truth and some people just have to accept instead of saying that we are jealous!! and there are always exceptions. It's like you can't say that everyone who comes to sajha is a nepali since sajha is a nepali website, there are always exceptions. I mean now days dv winners might be starting to be different, but it's only slowly increasing. So, for now i do agree with Yamraj!! PS: oh man i've had this discussion before here, and ended up with people yelling at me like crazy. i really hope that doesn't happen this time! :) :)

Once i met one guy from Terai belt. He won DV lottery and he got second letter also ... i am still unclear about the process but according to him...... He was learning basic english in बिश्व भाषा क्याम्पस, प्रदर्शनि मार्ग, काठमाण्डु It was ok. He have applied for DV after getting certificate of ISc from mitra raastra ......... and he was complaining that he don get appointment for visa interview. It was too shame to us.

I think it takes time for Dv winners to settle and find themselves in better situation. Yes, they are lucky, but the mere luck that brought them to the states is not enough to sustane them. They are really lucky if they get their green cards on their 20s but for late 30s , 40s, 50s people from Nepal have very less self confidence to succeed in the USA. I personally know some people who have said, F**K to the greencards and left for Nepal. I don't know when they'll come again. I met dozens of people , dv winners, working in gastation complaining their jobs and how much it sucks to work 2 jobs and spend all money on rent, although the food is cheap. Obviously, highschool degrees means nothing in the USA. highschool degrees get you nowhere even if you're from the USA. If you're from Nepal, in your mid 30s or 40s/50s, if you had not enough opportunity while living in Nepal to learn english and understand the foreign way of living than changes are you're going to have tough time. It is heartbreaking to see some people complain about hardwork in the USA and high rent and credit spiral of slavery. While some student , younge and engergetic lack such opportunities. I think dv winners need to be more patient and the zeal to do well must come. Being curious and going to school help.
