I have a Undergrad & Master degree from US University. My H1-B was approved on Oct 2006. Currently I am working for a fortune 100 company. My employer(consulting company) is asking me if I am interested in filing Green Card. The only prior work experience I ever had in US was doing an internship for 9 months during my Undergrad. Is prior work experience a must(mandatory) to file labor under EB2 category? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It’s not you but your job requires MS+0 or BS+5 yrs or progressive work exp for EB2. Its not easy to qualify EB2 for software eng. Generally, Sr. Engineers or manager post justifies MS+0 or more exp requirements. PW is higher as well. Its complex - consult good attorney before investing time and money. Now all cases goes to Nebraska SC and they hesitate to approve that easily. Good luck
