Hi all, I just graduated with a Bachelors degree in business and looking for a job where I can get a H1 sponsorship. I got a job already but they don't do H1 sponsorship so kinda stuck in the wrong boat. If anyone knows of any company who does H1 please post it here or you can email me at kaamde@yahoo.com I would really appreciate the help. I read a thread some days ago about some consulting company thing. Something about indian consulting firms, but do they take people with marketing degree also. I am currently on OPT and have a full year before it expires, but I need to find a H1 sponsor before the quota starts in April. Please let me know.

if you have whole year of OPT, you dont have to tell that you need sponsorship now. When they get to know you and yur work, you will be so much valuable to them that they will do everything to keep you there. Forget about H1, they will even do residency and everything. Go and work with them and talk to them around may or june, those visas should still be there by then. Without knowing you and yor work why would they sponsor because they can save some money by hiring others here. once they know you, i am sure you can give them an impression, honesty hard work, work ethics, and dedication. If indian can get job, any nepali even from gulmi can do good job because of the workethics. if you talk about what you know, yo dont have to know nothing. They will train you everything at work if its a good company. all you need a gut to take in at training and dedication, if you cant, i dont have anthing to say.

Kaamde, I think you have to up front with the company that you need H1B sponsored. What TKKB said makes logical sense but a lot of companies dont have the resouces to do sponsorship because they dont have knowledge of it and convincing them is very difficult because of the legal process. Some companies will not qualify because as sponsors. So its very imp to exclude these companies in your search. If you had a Masters TKKB's route would have been more suitable because of the extra quota's for people with a Masters degree. But I am sure you are aware how fast the quota gets filled up for the general category. I think you might be better off researching on net for some consulting firm. I keep getting emails from this address Recruit@yorksolutions.net . Unfortunately they are an IT form and I am not sure if thats what you want. This route maybe easier if you are just looking for an H1B sponsor. Please remember I am not sure if they do sponsor or not or do they train people from other disciplines. But no harm in writing to them and submiting you resume. Hope that helps.

Thanks biggysmall bro. I actually already talked to my current employer about the H1 craap and found out they don't do it. So my only choice is to either work for them for 1 year and do masters or look for some company that will sponsor an H1 for me. I am near the Chicago area so was looking for something near that area if I have to work for a consulting company. If anybody knows about any such company in the vicinity (Chicago), please let me know.
