CHeck the 2nd letter, the l of required paperwork should be in there. I don't think affidavit of support is required but it comes in handy (every embassy have their own criteria in addition to KCC's requirements) For more information, check out www.immigrationportal.com

If your sister is in Nepal. You need to fill i-134 form to be safe. Now a days, if she has enough property and she can support then she will not need I-134 but if I would have to do this then definately i would fill I-134.I have filled up couple of I-134 for DV.

Sim22, Hre's the real deal. You are seeking answer in wrong website. If you want the accurate informatioin about DV sponsorship, go to the site I mentioned above, go to DV forum and look for Catseyes' thread about DV Consular Processing. You will get your answer. You can email me if you have hard time geting info in that site.

sim22 Sorry for late response. Here is what i did last time. I filled out form i-134.This is so simple form and you can fill yourself. --- Fill I-134 form ---Get your General Employment verification letter (get from your employer) ----Send One Paycheck(if You have)-- I sent it ----Bank statement of arround $10,000( Better to have Checking and Saving) Which I did above....... Generally now a days if person have enough fund they don't need it.But I send above for family of 3 which i sponsor and they are here.
