NEW DELHI, May 13 - The Indian police have arrested three Nepalis with stolen idols dating back to 8th century, police said.
Two antique statues, an Arya Tara, also called female Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism and Lord Ganesh, were recovered from three Nepalis arrested by the crime branch of Delhi Police on Friday.
The police said both the idols are worth of Rs. 50 million each in the international market.
The arrested Nepalis were identified as Deepak, Tenjing Zangpo and Sandeep, according to the Indian daily The Times of India.
Deepak, from Nuwakot, and owner of a garment factory had brought the idols, said to be dating back to the 8th Century AD, to Delhi from Nepal....................................
