Can anyone please share their experiences when returning back to the US? What questions were asked at the port of entry? Specially if you were currently employed on OPT and returning back on your new issued F-1 visa. Would appreciate your help/time.

Thanks.
D.

I am in OPT but not employed yet. I was told by an international office not to travel to the country where the visa was issued. In my case Nepal. I would like to know more about this.

Travelling in your OPT is Okay only if you are employed and if your student visa has not expired yet. Otherwise, do not even think about it. I know some friends who had gone on their OPT and easily got back to US but had employer letter in hand and had still valid visa. But I wouldn't go to Nepal even though I have both.
