One simple suggestion is: Don't take the quantitative section for granted. That is where you may gain or lose 60 to 80 points. Practice with actual tests. Time yourself as if you are taking the actual test.

Practise, practise practise dat's the way to score really high on GRE. The quantitative section is where we shouldn't ignore....make sure u can solve all da problems with ease, and u r familiar with the question types..especially the statistical graph part where it can really take away ur time reading the graph n understanding the question. Being familiar with the question types is very imp, and of course u should also know how to solve it...

As far as the english part is concerned, donot give up on it. I know of some people who have scored very high on the English part. Since u are taking it in december, I would say u have time to memorize the words and also use them in sentences and practise it that way. Reading literary magazines n journals and reading the latest best sellers is a good idea to grasp some words that you might see on GRE.
Once u have the habit of reading high literary sources then tackling the passage is no big deal. But I would really suggest knowing the 2000 most repated words in and out.

good luck...I loved preparing for GRE . Hope u would enjoy it as well....
