Do you think our national dress is suitable for us and present age? Our national dress is unique but I think it is not so much suitable for summer season? what do you think? It also takes so much time to wear. So many tunas in Duara and Injar(if lost inside injar belt of )Suruwal really makes trouble sometime. Does it require some modifications. Opinions are welcomed.

Come on , bro. If you learn to wear it, it doesn't take long to wear. If you don't want to learn , then even tie takes hours!! Think about national dress of Scotland(kilt), Bhutan, and Lanka.

I saw a picture of one gathering where Deuba was giving speech in Biratnagar wearing only duara, suruwal(not coat) and it was wet due to his sweat, so long Daura and compressed everywhere. I laughed seeing this picture that he must felt very hot.

When I was a small child, my late grandma bought white jean daura (I needed no suruwal then, as I knew no shame). At that time I vowed abstinence from this dress due to similar expressions of the originator. Now having no option for other dresses I regret that Daura Suruwal would have been much easier than bakhu as mentioned by Come On Bro. It covers the body well. It is also unique in the whole World. Our bakhu is more unique with open below!
