Hey guys, my dad has a hearing problem. Since I'm going back to nepal this summer, I'm planning to buy a hearing device for him. But I'm confused right now where to look for it. I've heard that those things are real expensive. Can any body give me any info. regarding therse things, where can I buy it or what kind of product is effective? any suggestion is welcome. Since my budget is really tight, I'm looking something that would not exceed more than $500.
Thanx in advance.

I am a nurse. hearing aids are costum made. first they do your ear checking for amount of hearing loss and plus they take a measurement of your ear canal.it is not cheap without insuranc. without an insurance it might cost aroung 3-4 g easily. my advice is to buy after market hearing aids which as adjustable volume controller which can cost under $100. good luck.

Long time ago I was involved in buying one which cost us Rs.1400/1500 may be tripled the price. Do not buy the tablet one which seems good but chances of loosing is high. I rather suggest that is like Bluetooth but silky one.
