I am trying to get into one of the nursing schools out here in the Bay area, even if you get 3.0 GPA in all of your pre requisites you still have to be on the waiting list for about a year or 2 or even more; some schools have a G.P.A requirement of 3.7 like SF state. City college has an unusual Lottery system, that i guess no other states have, which is not helpful at all, coz my luck isnt that great.
Do other states pre nursing students have to face the same problems. I have done my pre-requisites with B's on all of then including Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Psychology, Microbiology, Chemistry. Plus all the GE classes that is required.
Do other state nursing school require the following?
1. Overall and science class G.P.A. 3 or more
2. Volunteering on a hospital for 40 hrs or more.
3. Worked in a clinical setting.
4. Where you dont have to wait for 2-3 yrs in order to finish your degree?
ANY IDEA............PLEASE SUGGEST.
