Read this: KOL Letter to the editor: We honor rickshaw pullers, tailors and waiters as much as professors, doctors and lawyers. They are also scholars in their respective fields. An under-SLC proletarian worker, working in an industry to eke a living can be hundred times more pragmatic, informative, and creative than an urban-bred soap opera crazy, hedonistic bourgeois.
http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=147831
This reminds the concept behind the killing field.

At the end of French revolution, French started trimming head of people who were against the revolution or harmed (in the eye of revolutionists) revolution causes. They slashed head on gilletine .... The number went up everyday. As the number rose to 100 or 200, then public were overwhelmed. As the time passed, when the witnesses passed the information to those waiting to hear:
A: How many killed today?
B: about 200.
A: Today, just 200. That is too low. Yesterday, they were doing good because 300 were killed. These people could not catch the royalists. Damn it.
Next day:
A: How many killed today?
B: about 300.
A: Great.
Days continued. It is the same thing that we saw in Iranian revolution. The number rose .... in such a dramatic path that people wanted to see more slaughtered, and revolutionary government also wanted to satisfy the thirst of people's desire to see more number.
What is the disgusting part in these conversations and desire, is that they don't care who were killed? What was their mistake? Why did they do that mistake? ..... Insensitiveness. Just another death, who cares type of mentality.
Today, we can see the similar mentality. Maoists are reasoning that why such a fuss for just another commoner's death as there are already 15,000. It just adds another number 1 to the list. This can be clearly seen on Nepe-sir's reply to my earlier request. For him, RHSs death is just another death. "RHS" is not really important, that is what we can sense from his posting, and it is the same mentality that French or Iranian revolutionists had in the end of their revolution. It is the mentality of any Maoist supporters whether in this forum or in Kantipur Daily or The Kathmandu Post or ..... They have no Shame.
Well, Nepe-sir might not be happy with my comment. Meanwhile, I appreciate his nice word on me on his earlier posting.
I doubt whether your comment on finding a way to punish the perpeterators of the deaths in the past, or this is just a GOHI KO ANSU because public opinion is on the otherside at this moment, and it is not a good time for you to write something on the otherside. I doubt your honesty, because you did not consider RHS as an individual, but just another XYZ person. You did not write a single word towards denouncing the killing.
In the name of punishing the evils of the past, we can not simply keep adding the number and letting the Maoists run their killing spree. You should have denounced at least this part. It needs a courage to denounce the atrocities. You failed to that in the earlier posting. Maoists will keep adding others in the same list ...we will let it go on and on and on... . Maoist killed 4 year old Kajal (burned alive in Chitwan Narayangarh), 38 people killed in Madi, Birendra Sah killed, and today, Mr. RHS. It is time to stop, and denounce the killing spree. Read carefully:

GP-jyu,

rameshdai,
My suggestion to you would be to use decent word: USE words acceptable in PG13 rated shows. Give respect to at least a threshold level so that a person with transparent / semitransparent identity like Nepe ji can return to reply to our postings for our own sakes. He certainly has great ideas no matter which side he belongs to. In democracy, we must hear what the other side of the aisle has to say, so that we can take their good side, reject the bad side, and it will also help us to correct our mistakes or weaknesses, and reinforce our strengths. If we abuse him or anyone else with extreme words, then the readers will sideline with him. He wins not you or me. We can reject his ideas, but lets not reject him as a person NEPE. Rejecting Nepe as person is just skin deep, but if we can reject his ideas to the satisfaction of readers, we are going beyond the skin. Let us not rely on visible light which is very illusionary, rather use UV or X-ray and reach beyond skin: evaporate what is hidden inside the skin, and bring it out: Expose his inside stuffs. We are not Maoists to peel his skin with knife, or law enforcement officers to lay him on operation table and open his body and see .... we should use UV and X-rays, just evaporate his inner stuffs without touching his skin, without a sense of pain to him. Decent way of discussion with him can turn out to be a chemotherapy on his inner weaknesses, that might rectify his weaknesses.
He is a great asset in this forum. Without people like Nepe, Ashu, Shirish, RahulVai, this site would have turned as a mirror forum of the MySansar.com. I am not trying to teach you, bro, I am just trying to let you know my perspective, and a small suggestion which you don't need to accept necessarily. Time and again, Nepe ji had used very harsh word on me, but he never used any word that would be rejected in the shows made for PG13 class. I know you want to pour your anger on him, but lets refrain these words that he does not deserve. He is clever, smart, and intelligent enough to not participate with you in this mudslinging biz, he knows it very well. That is why, he is very selective in responding to the requests. Lets live together, have beer together, and discuss together, but let us agree to disagree in a "at least moderately" decent way.
My 2 cents.

RHS's death news is still boiling:
http://www.kantipuronline.com/kolnews.php?&nid=147935
Maoists have a long way to go. Prachanda and BRB are still denying to say SORRY. Ameet Dhakal's article in KOL was eye opening. Ameet was earlier writing articles quite aligned / sympathatic to Maoists. Like Shangroula, he also went on expressing his understanding against the Maoist Brutality, which our Nepe ji could not do. Nepe ji did not have guts that Ameet Dhakal and Khagendra Sangroula had. Nepe ji, NepaliPost.com, Mr. Chitra K. Tiwari (who sometime back wrote article in Washington Post), Dr. Padam Pd. Sharma of Minnesota (www.empowernepal.org/root/about/board.html ), ..... and Dr. Pramod Dhakal ( http://www.cffn.ca/events/bio.php ) plus others are the people who do not have guts to openly sideline with Maoists as Shangroula does sometime, because like the Nepali Army Personnel Mr. Fu****** (I don't remember his name) who was booooed when he said "Tapai haru ko party ....". I mean they know that Maoists are skinheads / brainwashed idiots, and are a kind of sheeps' herd, and therefore they don't want to be in the same group, but want to support them in the hope one day they will be invited to have appointed position. I know that not everyone has that ambition, but they want to settle their disagreement with others by supporting the sheeps' herd. If they had guts, they should have stood firm on RHS' side instead claiming RHS as just another number. Hoina ra, Nepe sir?

I don't think Nepejee comes out so easily and writes in support of RHS's side. Nepejee?I think Nepejee is a very smart debator. He only participates when his arguments are or will be strong. He already mentioned " गम्भिर र शालिन कुराकानी/छलफल हुनुपर्छ, बोलाउँदा म नआउने कुरै छैन" that means he thinks this thread is a piece of garbage for him. Whole Maoist party has been in a vulnerable position in RHS's case so why he decides to participate in this discussion.... Let him to hibernate for a while, atleast until the report of Maoist investigation (Adalati nirnaya in his words) comes out, then he will speak out..

Now in step 3 and 4:
Step #3 I. There will be a SINCERE-sounding, here-we-go-again type of a ready-made 'aatma-alochana' by the Maoist top leaders. They will use all the right words, push all the right emotional buttons, look genuinely contrite on TV, etc . . . they know that they will have to play the part, and they will pay it with all the sincerity of the muskaan on an air hostess's lips!
Step #4 IV. The Maoists will promise to punish the guilty -- (NOT according to the law of the land, but according to how they see fit) . . . and in a few days, everyone forgets who was supposed to do what to whom.
A committee formed. Nepe ji smiles. Mr. Commander is suspended. Nepe ji smiles again because all these killers of 15000 got similar punishment. Suspended from such a garimamaya party. As Prachanda said two years ago (in the interview published in KOL, and a short quotes posted in earlier postings), that their punishment is dismissing them from Maoist Party, and he claims that some have already left: as in Birendra Sah's murder case.

RameshDai,
Now, you might be correct. A friend of mine wrote an email to me that so many Maoist sympathizers from America, Canada, Australia, and Europe have landed in Nepal. They are knocking the doors of Maoists leaders. Some of them he knew and I also knew talked to him over the phone and he met them in some public gatherings. They printed their CV, and discussions - postings ..... as a proof of defending Maoists in their crucial time from US while US was watching these people .... blah blah .... Wow! Amazing. Our so called civil society / civic leaders .... NGO / iNGO, and he says their purpose is now clear. Poor fellows! Indeed.

GP I just happen to see the deleted thread on clarificaition to why this thread was not accessible. I am in Nepal with slow internet access so not able to be very involved in sajha for a few more weeks. As you have been involved in sajha for many years, I hope you have seen that I have not interfered with any threads unless it directly goes against any sajha policy. Sajha is here to promote healthy discussions and unfortunately some people like rameshdai aka maheshdai are seen on occassions trying to jeopardize the spirit of discussion by abusing the system. Rameshdai/maheshdai had posted code within his last post here to redirect people to go to Yahoo Mail, that is why this thread was not being accessible. I have fixed what needs to be. I hope this answers any questions. Regards, San

The killer Kham comes back. All cases against him withdrawn. What a shame!!! Read Dainike.com http://www.Dainikee.com/ It gives the picture of doc where Prachanda signed that he will bring Kham to Justice, but they honored him by bringing to the central committee. They don't have any shame. They don't care what public will think of. They think that they can suppress the public. Wow!!!!! The civic society that helped bring Maoist to government. Shame on you guys. Devendra Raj Pande, Mr. Tuladhar, and the so called writers. Hahahahaha!!! Do you have some Ijjat?

Maoists honour murder-accused with CC membership In what appears to be a resounding slap to calls for end to culture of impunity in the country, the ruling Unified CPN (Maoist) has awarded Kali Bahadur Kham 'Bibidh', the main accused in the murder of restaurateur and party sympathiser Ram Hari Shrestha, with a berth on its Central Committee (CC), myrepublica.com reported. The news portal quoted an unnamed Maoist source as saying that the Maoists withdrew all disciplinary action against Kham and included him in the expanded Central Committee of the party under its recent initiative to forge party unity with the Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Center-Masal). Kham, a People's Liberation Army (PLA) commander at Shaktikhor cantonment, has been absconding since he was charged of subsequently murdering Shrestha after abducting him in May 2008. However, a formal announcement of the inclusion of Kham in the 175 member Central Committee formed after the Maoist's unification with Masal is yet to be made. Senior Maoist leader C.P Gajurel confirmed Kham's inclusion in the expanded CC adding that Kham got into the new committee "by virtue of his membership in the party's CC in 2005." "Reinstating party´s CC members is one thing and the party´s disciplinary action against Kham is quite another," Gajurel told the newsportal, defending Kham's controversial inclusion in the Central Committee

Everybody knows he is the killer. There is an abscence of evidence because he is getting support right from the top level that is prime minster. If maoist wanted he could have been easily proven guilty which would have also potrayed much more cleaner image of maoist.
Even when he was outcasted from Maoist during these times ( only in name though in reality he was never outcasted) rambadhur thapa badal went on to meet him. How much credibiilty that gives to the government when an accused murderer are being met by ministers.

Minister Mahara in Janakpur to inquire Singh murder
Kantipur Report DHANUSHA, Jan 15 - Four days after Dhanusha-based journalist Uma Singh was brutally murdered at her own residence, a government team led by Minister for Information and Communications Krishna Bahadur Mahara reached Dhanusha on Thursday to inquire about the incident. After arriving here, Minister Mahara expressed his commitment to take action against those responsible for killing Singh. (if not we will bring him into our central comitee member) "The government will take action against anyone if found guilty of the killing," Mahara said adding that the government is positive towards the demands put forth by the journalists. “I am here as the prime minister was busy,†said he. The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) has announced to continue the sit-in in front of the Dhanusha District Administration Office until the government makes a positive address on the implementation of its demands. FNJ President Dharmendra Jha also arrived here with the Communications Minister. An unidentified group of about 20 men had brutally stabbed Singh with Khukuris on Sunday night. She succumbed to the fatal injuries on her way to the capital for treatment. Her murder has sparked protests by the journalists natio

Why does an information minister goes to inquire a murder case? If it was home minister, it would make sense to me. If the killer Kham is not punished, but honored as central cmte member, what message does it convey? If Himal Media attackers go out with honor, what message does it convey? If Uma Singh and her father-brother's killers go undetected, what message does it convey? For Maoists these are just 15001, 15002, and 15003 numbered deaths, but the killers followers and supporters will have more confidence that they can run killing spree and the govt will do no harm to them. Anyway, Gyanendra Shah who had support from 100,000 Army, could not make his position continued for more than 15 months, I doubt whether Prachanda can continue his position for another couple of months. Kham's nomination to cc member will certainly dig a deeper hole in his graveyard. Good Luck Comrade. Keep counting your days. Indians who put you in current chair, are coming from behind and going to kick on your A##. The recent cancellation of Europe tour clearly shows that your A## is itching. Chinese can not save you.
