Elusivecat, ya damn mothafugcka...Newbees like you ain't been around to see me post shit on Tupac (and you post them 2 years after I did again?), Biggie, Fitty, Kanye and what have yous, you lil azzwipe.  Listen when the Sugerhill Gang (ever heard of them, lil fag) was busting out the first Hip Hop single to hit the charts (Rapper's Delight), I was rapping to the beat.  In case you're wondering, your dad was still wearing diapers then, foolio.

This juvie mothafugcka just gets into the hip-hop game 2-3 years ago and he questions my knowlegde about the genre.  Listen faggot, I've watched Dark Man X's (DMX's) FIRST major concert live, been around to listen to Snoop/Biggy/Tupac/Dre's albums when fags like you were still dripping snot all over your sweaters in elementary school AND when the Wu-Tang ruled NYC, I repped the streets with my Timbs when only a handful (even in NYC) donned them.  Hey fag, I've been there and have stayed true to the game.  Faking pozays like you think you know shit about hip-hop just coz you copped Fitty's album a month ago?  Get real son as you ain't known about the Hip Hop genre as to what I know about its history and significance along with all the Capitalistic elements in hip-hop, mothafugcking wanke who support the commies (what a hypocrite).

BTW, if in NYC, go for the African American Culture class at NYU and find yourself doing an indepth analysis into the Hip Hop Revolution instead of trynna teach yo dad here, son!  I took that class when fools like you were still in line to get your visa to come to the US and listening to Backstreet Boys.

Quit faking and GET REAL!!

I got a  sweet lil setup of mine in my living room. A pair of piano black M5Gs with DJM600. The mixer is silver so trying to get a DJM800 for color matching. I got scratch live as well but practice once in a blue moon coz of time shortage. For now it is in my living room just for show only. It really is an eyecatcher.

For mobile dj's, i suggest CDJs tho. CDJ800s or CDJ1000s. I was just curious what dj Gorkhali got in his coffin.

DJ Gorkhs, ke chha bro? ANA is in your hood this yr my man----here's hoping you got something kick ass lined up...and dont get these threaders upset you broda...these 'laptop gladiators' do this simply to get some excitement in their utterly lonely and boring world.

Eastsidaz,
well I am out of the Vinyl Game now, too much to carry and care for(crates of vinyl's catching dust).
Now, I have a pair of CDJ800 the ones you want ;) Korg Zero4 Mixer, Korg PadKontrol, M-Audio Evolution X-session and a SkullKandy Headphones to match my Black/White Mixer. Behringer Europower EP2500
A pair for 500 watts Eminence Home made speakers on Stands.
and for all these puppies I have RoadReady individual HardCases to go.

Ani Eastsidaz where you from, I am in the eastcoast too. DMV area.

I see you have a DJM600. It is one of best and battle tested and trusted in the history of Mixers. Now pioneer has moved up to 700 and 800 but 600 is still the best in it's class. I loved using it but since times have changed, even carrying CD's have become a hassle, that is why I use Traktor Scratch, my mixer has a built in sound card and the whole mixer is a midi-controller in itself with individual effects in each channel and one in the main output. My mixer is pretty new in the market (sale started in winter 2007) compared to other's;
Most people don't even know Korg makes dj mixers now. I researched and waited for a few years to invest in a good mixer and I am very happy with mine. I wouldn't trade it for anything not even Allen & Heath.

keep in touch and holla back, maybe we can hangout or jam or exchange idea's what eva you prefer.

cheers
gorkhali

Thank You jhyalincha for your words of inspiration

Dude it is going on full swing, This year we have thought of doing in a new way, we have 6 dj's from the states and this year we are bringing Dj Raju from Nepal. Trying to see what kindda water he treads in. It should be fun.

got 2 dj's from NY (Samir and Pema)
2 from baltimore (Dinesh and Kapil)
as always Dj Harkay from Cali
and myself.

I was planning to do it DMC style dj night. There will be dancing but this time you will get to watch the dj his thing and appreciate the skills, instead of dancing in a dark floor never knowing who the dj is and what he is doing. It is going to be different from what we have been doing in ANA for past few years.

And if guy's happen to come to ANA, don't forget to say hello to your favorite Gorkhali.

got one month left people.... start booking those rooms people....
C Ya'll soon.
Gorkhali

DJing is all about practice, practice, and more practice so if you don't have the time, you're just wasting you're money on an expensive hobby.

I work on Pioneers (CDJ 800s  MK2 and DJM400)  Time to upgrade soon though. I was thinking about the 1000s and Serato

BTW: That sounds like a good lineup for ANA.  I'm hoping that I can make it this year.

@ red devil:
For beat matching you got to know how to CUE, you got to know beat counting like bar, phrase and Chorus.
Every 4 beat is a bar
every 8 beat is a phrase and
every 16 beat is a chorus.

Some songs have 4, some has 8 and some has 16. Normaly we do at 8 beat but if you look at house, techno they normally possess 16.

Please let me know if you have some more questions.
