It is as much Raj Raja Prasad Singh's Nepal as it is yours... Just because you see a Madhesi President, you begin to cry foul. Ram Raja Prasad Singh was jailed for his political views. He was mastermind behind Bom_kanda (that almost killed G Shah) back in 1985, if you know anything about it. What have you, kanchu et al, done to bring a change in Nepal, besides crying those croccy tears? There were/are definitely other Nepalis who could deservedly be the first president of Nepal. But most, if not all, of them have devious political background behind them. Better RRPS than GPK. The next question we will be (or should be) discussing is 'How Nepali does one have to be a Nepali?' _x

AXARA...
He was mastermind behind Bom_kanda (that almost killed G Shah) back in 1985,
brother what are you trying to imply here? killing a g sha then would have been the greatest achievement? you kidding me bro.. Answer me one simple question, nepal was better when there was G Shah or it is better now?? where there is no rule of law, security, and list goes on Please do not throw politcal slurry, I do not want that. Just think bro???
About that bomb incident, What I know is, 6 nepalis innocent were killed in that incident. On what account you are supporting RRPS I really do not know, please let me know if he has done any substantial contribution to our country????
you be happy! yes i am crying!

Axara ,
Did you happen to see one report on Image channel. They showed the people who lost their loved ones during the bombing by Ram Raja. What was there fault? One woman was still crying talking about that incident taken place years ago. What is her fault?
If tomorrow somebody tries to bombs Prachanda and Prachanda survives but few innoncent lives get killed. Would you try to justify those bombing also.

Today's terrorists are tommorow's freedom fighters, history is written differently depending on who comes out the winner after the war is over. But Killing innocent people can never be justified, and as for those bombings i can't commenst on what context it was for but whatever the end result maybe such means are never justified. I have no problem who the president/prime minister is as long as he gets the job done, who cares if he is madhesi /pahadi , hindu/muslim or buddhists as long as he is a nepali citizen and works for the benifit of the nepalese people , the only problem i have with this person is i am afraid he is being put in the spotlight just to be a rubber stamp for the maoists, the the key things is i am "afraid" because i don't know his political views , or his background , i could be wrong , he could well be good, somebody new with a new approach , God only know wherte the old guys have got us into. anyways i just hope he has the intelligence and the courage to check these maoists when they form the government , cause i personnaly don't trust them.

After all there are many capable people in Nepal who are not politician. They also have a new face for janata, and they can become a good president. Why are we stuck with old farts all the time. Look at all the netas they all are old and this guys looks like his one leg is already in the grave. If we are planning to build a new Nepal than we definatly need a new netas who can represent Nepal in the international level, not in Indian level.

Those who believe that Violence is the way to brighter future or "naya nepal" or whatever , I want to ask a simple question to them. Is there no other way except violence to create a "naya nepal"?. Do they have to always kill the innocents. I completely disagree with the moist thought that "sometime we have to follow violence to get peace" and they always try to explain by giving example of other countries. Have anybody thought what would be current nepal if there is no Moist?. Well, what i believe is, killing innocents is not a solution at all. It only creates another violence and this chain goes on an on and thats the rule of nature. and last words, 'There is no so called 'naya nepal' coz nepal is same and will always be the same. We just have to change their thinking and create a 'naya soch' not naya nepal.

I have a mixed emotions. Because this is the 1st time Madeshis are respected in Nepali community. Its shows that anyone can be a President, VP and Prime Minister. On the otherhand why do we have to elect only the very old cripple handicapped man who cannot even take care of himself. These old people must know that their time is past. Their ideas are old and won't work in today's advanced global technological world. Their ideas are outdated. Common give a chance to new generation who has a fresh vision and tremendous energy to do jobs. A New young leader doesn't mean he won't respect the old generation. We desperately need new ideas and new thoughts if we want to engage in today's globalization. If we keep on electing one after another old cripple ones, where do we get new ideas and a new vision? Why our people aren't able to find better young President than this. I am sure there are many Madeshis as well as others who are more capable than this old guy. Gosh, I'm tired of our system. Same thing goes again and again. Ok I undestand this guy has done something at some pt, that doesn't mean he can get a free pass to be a President. President should be a visionary person who knows how to run economy and other stuffs. Like I said earlier this old guy cannot even take care of himself, how is he going to take care of Nepal?

We are looking for leaders and not puppets.
Bloody all parties have pushed their puppets for the Prez and VP. I have never been a Maoist supporter, in fact never supported any political party but would certainly like to see a warrior like Dr. Baburam Bhattarai take the lead. Hez the only one who can control Prachanda, Girija, Madhav Kr. Nepal, the Madhesi leaders, India and the States.
Sadly very few people can see this.
