Very fast to copy Western shows, movies and songs.
NOT even close to copy their civilized manner and attitude. It reminded me of Biharis dressed up like city folk, the language and the tone. How can you take Indian Entertainment seriously whether it is show like this or any Bollywood movies. Stop wasting time and energy watching crap size of Mt. Everest.

WOW! What the hell? What a filthy trashy show - Fear Factor meets Jerry Springer. Man that bitch is mean. I don't advocate violence, but I would make an exception for her. She deserved every nano-meter of that guy's palm on her ugly cheek. I bet she actually enjoyed it because she looks kind of gurls who like it rough and in back door.

abhored,
Just because he cried does not mean he is a fag. What kind of people do you think go to these shows. They give you 50000 Rs for winning. That means humiliating yourself on camera, kissing that bitch's balls and be ready to be disgusted for the rest of your lives just for Rs. 50K . To treat people like the way the girl did it is not only unlawful but immoral.
Poor guy was ganged up by everyone and started yelling 'how can she slap me, sir? how can she slap me?' Don't you think he would have beat the host up if he could? How can one man go against all those assholes? If you watch the real episode, they make the guy play and he loses in the end. What a disgrace!

fortunefaded,

my perception : that guy lacked courage. if u get urself involve in some repugnant shit like that. you take it as a man. that guy was crying "how can she slap me,sir"..he did not fight back .i can understand that..he is not mithun or chuck norris. but he did not keep quiet either. he should have kept his mouth shut and took the beating like a man.

Lets not get heated over what stupid Indians do. They have a low mentality, i agree with someone here who says they'll kill their own family for money. They have low morals. It was fun to see those ppl slapping one another, entertaining.

The loser deserved a gang beating, i agree that the girl was rude and she started it but not only in India, in any parts of the world, there is no justification for raising a hand on a girl, just take it as a man and suck it up.

Where in the world is it written that a girl can slap a guy for nothing and the guy has to suck it up and don't reply to it? If that girl has a courage to slap the guy, she should also be ready to accept all the consequences. Just because she is a girl doesn't give the right to slap the constestant.

It would a different story if the contestant had envoked her and she had to slap because of it.

abhored,
Yes he should have kept quite. But he was only trying to justify his actions, which was in vain as you can see that the host was a meat head.

Teena,
you said:
i agree that the girl was rude and she started it but not only in India, in any parts of the world, there is no justification for raising a hand on a girl, just take it as a man and suck it up.

Raising a hand against a girl? Are you out of your mind? What if a girl had slapped a girl? Even worse, if a guy was a host and a girl was the contestant, you know how big of an issue this would have been? Why do women come up with double standards? When they are discriminated, they whine and complain about male dominated society and when it is done to a guy, you are supposed to take it as a man? For me, the sex of the host is irrelevant. What has been done is immoral and yes he could have shut up but now the girl will think twice before slapping anyone. Tit for tat as they say.

Is the host my gf or wife? Would you hit your bf/husband if he hits you? If you smack your brother, will he slap you back? How about your parents? Can you hit your son more times than your daughter? The list goes on....

Why are we bringing in personal relations when clearly it is about a bit*chy host and an ill-treated contestant?

The slapping saga is a natak, to get public attention. Why would somebody put the episode in the website and on tv it there was such a controversy. They put the episode and they themselves pretend to leak this slapping natak so they get phokat publicity from even sajha.

Com'on understand the dhotis, sale chori is in their blood. Someone said it right, dhotis should be wipe out from the face of earth...

I'll have to wholeheartedly agree with what you said fortunefaded. I can't understand the double standards raised by women in this era. Women are constantly whining about being discriminated, segregated and what not and they're constantly trying to prove that they're equals. However, when someone "raises" their hands on women, all of a sudden Men get all the "abuse" because they mistreated women? Why can't women defend themselves if they're equal then?

I'd have knocked that woman and the bodyguards and the other contestant out ( outside the stage later ) if I was the one who got that stick. When you rewatch the clip, you'll notice that the bodyguard clearly violates the law and acts like a Machoman. Poor fellow. He got humiliated because 5 faggots jumped on him while ultimately led him to cry.

keeping the controversy of the slapping saga and the havoc created thereby aside for a while...
it's just feels so pathetic to see that these so called "reality" or game shows have been one of the cheesiest money-making business for people these days ( especially in south asia).
gone are the days, people got to see  quality programs- documentaries or series on tv. damn....having witnessed what i would say the golden era of tv, that produced some of the finest shows--  pakistani tele-series, mythological series (ramayan/mahabharat/chaanakya..so on), quiz shows and all... heck even the zee horror show for that matter (at least few episodes did send chill in our spines as a kid, no?)

and look where they've come after a decade or so...a perfect instance of "reverse progression". meanest show on TV re...my foot!  they do anythign...i repeat any freaking thing to collect TRP for their shows..and worst of all..People watch them....how stupid can they get than that?..shame shame...

coming back to the controversy:
while i tend to feel sorry for the contestant who's beaten like a sack of rotten tomatoes hahaha...i must say i am quite amazed that he didn't think even for a microsecond to slap the bi**tch back.....bi**tch she might be alright..but looking at the format of the show and its quality (whose metric is measured by being as meanest as possible), i would have felt more sorry for the guy if he had thought for a fraction of a second more before slapping the b**ich back or better yet, given the benefit of the doubt and reacted in a civil manner. somebody hits you doesn't mean you have to hit back in the exact same manner. there are other ways which are more civil and which can potentially hit back harder

Watching the full clip, it looks the girl got too much into the act and she did wrong by slapping the guy. I agree with one of the poster above that these Indian shows treat the participants like crap..but I guess that's Indian mentality. If you ain't a celebrity then you are treated like sh**

But here's a tip for u all:

If a girl slaps you or hits you..here's what you do. Don't hit her back!! If she really really deserves it, spit at her face. Justice served. Hey! she doesn't have the right to slap at us either!!
